Alex stood in line with her friends, awaiting the beginning of their dreaded PSATS. Everyone behind them either chatting to themselves or doing some last minute revision.

Alex had been studying all night. She was worried about failing, staying back in junior year was not something she wanted to re-experience.

Admittedly, alex was thinking of her sister. About how she should be here, how different it would be if she was.

"Where's Lydia?" Kira asked. Bringing Alex back from her train of worries

"She's took it her freshman year" stiles shrugged

Malias brows knitted together as she looked between her friends "Does that mean I could have taken it some other time?"

Alex gave Isaac a small nudge, trying to hint to him to comfort the coyote.

"mal you studied more then any of us and two of us missed three months of the year. You will do great" he encouraged

"Doesn't mean I'm gonna do good" she huffed

"Well..." stiles corrected

Alex turned her attention to her boyfriend. Staring at him narrows eyes, "really?"

"Well, what?" Malia asked oblivious to the correction he made.

He hesitated "It's do well, not good"

Malia threw her hand in the air "Oh, God!"

Scott took over "You're doing this, because while we're trying not to die, we still need to live. If I survive high school, I'd like to go to college. A good college"

Kira nodded "It's only three hours. We can survive 3 hours"

"I mean we've survived worse" Alex pointed out

Isaac scoffed "a hell of a lot worse"

The door opened and students slowly spilled into the classroom, giving their thumb prints and dropping their phones into the little brown envelopes.

They all found their seats and sat down bracing for the next torturous hours.

A teacher stood, perched against the table. Alex didn't recognize Him. She assumed he was a filler due to the lack of consistent staff in their school.

"Please do not open the test booklet until you are instructed to do so." He ordered toward the stilinski boy who had tried to get a sneak peek

"This test is two hours and 10 minutes. There will be two 25-minute critical reading sections, two 25-minute math sections and an essay writing portion that will last 30 minutes." He explained

He glanced at ms Martin "There are supposed to be two teachers monitoring this exam"

She nodded "I know. It's Coach. He's not exactly punctual. Um, let me just try him again"
