A was a normal girl. They called her wierd, though. But she was smart. She did well in school, and enjoyed her life. In the year of 2017, she moved to a new strange place. Then things went wrong.
She was bullied at the school. She was taught that she didn't deserve to live. And she believed the words and they hit her heart like knives until she broke.
Secondary school wasn't much better. She started year 7 and it went well. For a while. But as she grew, so did the pit of darkness and numbness inside her. Her self loathing was overpowering in her mind and it made her want to die,but she already was. She was dead inside. She felt nothing. Not even the lines etched in her arms. And she became addicted to the pain. It destroyed her family. And then the summer came and there seemed to be a break.
She seemed better, happy even. She wore short sleeves without trouble. Perhaps for the last time. But the darkness wasn't gone. It was ready to come back and fight her, against herself.
Things only got worse. But from the other side I see that A has a lot ahead of her that isn't all darkness... There will be light... But her journey is far from over...
