Nala's Point Of View }

"It's me, not you," he said, pushing the blond hair out of his face so he could look at me directly with his emerald green eyes. "What did I do wrong? I asked, tears flowing from my dark purple eyes, down onto my pale cheeks. "I'm not ready for something so beautiful," he said with a smile. My tears began to flow even harder. It was at the point where it became hard to see.

"Not ready, my ass!" I shouted, slapping him blindly. I ran to the only place I could think of. I slammed my fists on the door frantically, hoping she was home. When Nami opened the door I collapsed onto her in a flood of tears.

"What happened?" she asked, her tanned skin red with rage. Nami is my best friend and we're practically sisters. We've been through everything together. She led me over to the couch.

"What's with her?" Nami's black-haired boyfriend, Key asked. I sat on the couch, sobbing my eyes out as she led Key out the door. Afterwards, she came and sat next to me, allowing me to cry on her shoulder until I couldn't cry any longer. By the time I was finished sobbing, her shoulder was drenched in tears.

"Are you ready to tell me what's wrong?" she asked me. Ricky had me here crying like a baby. That was so unlike me!

"After five years of steady dating, Ricky just decided to dump me like yesterday's trash! I can't figure out what I did wrong...." I replied, trying to keep the tears away. I could see Nami's face growing to a darker shade of red, with anger and rage growing in her eyes.

"What do you mean? He just dumped you?" she asked. "He used the 'it's me, not you,' line..." I said with my head in my hands. "Five years wasted!" I shouted. I felt the couch shift, so I knew Nami had gotten up. She came back with a tub of chocolate ice cream. I took the carton from her and began shoveling ice cream into my mouth, attempting to push down the tears.

"I'll be right back," she said, walking out of the door.

"I'll be right back," I spat, after I handed Nala the tub of chocolate ice cream. I walked out the door of my house, leaving her inside. How could Ricky lead her on for five years? I jogged the short distance from my house to Ricky's. His car was in the driveway so he must have been there. He never left his car anywhere. I peeked in his house through the window. I was utterly shocked at what I saw inside. He had an overly tanned girl sitting on his lap. She was too skinny, barely dressed, and was ready to suck up his whole face in their kiss. I couldn't hold back the anger, as I kicked in his door. It wasn't like I was trying to hold it in.

I walked out of the park after Nala slapped me, although I expected her to do a lot more damage. I walked to my car and went to pick up Monica.

I've been cheating on Nala with Monica for about three years. My parents loved seeing me with a sophisticated, polite girl, like Nala. But I soon stopped caring about what my parents had to say. I was so happy to have that goody-two-shoes off my back. Monica was better than her in so many ways. She was hotter, more stylish, and cared about what's trending. Not to mention she wasn't afraid to show a little skin. Nala is reserved, quiet, unstylish, and always follows her own trend. I was happy to have her out of the way. She was bringing down my social standards. Before I knew it, I was in Monica's driveway. Honking the horn, I watched as she hurried out in her light pink skirt that was bouncing in the breeze. Her black tank top was way too short; not that I minded. "Hi Ricky!" she greeted, hopping in the car. Flashing a red-lipped smile, she gave me a kiss before I pulled away and began to drive

I walked into my house and sat on the couch. Monica sat directly in my lap and before she could talk, I pulled her face in my direction and kissed her. Her voice was really high pitched and annoying. I wasn't in the mood to hear it. I heard a loud thump, watching my front door being kicked in. I pulled away from Monica and looked at the person who barged in. Nami: Nala's best friend. I didn't like the look on her face.
