Chapter 2

Lola’s P.O.V

I sat on my bed attempting to focus on my studying but my mind kept wondering away from me. I was looking at the ceiling when my phone rang.

“Hello.” I answered. I revived multiple hellos I guess we are doing a three way. “Come to Nala’s house we need you guys here it’s important.” Nami said. I sat on my bed for a few seconds wondering what could be wrong. I got up quickly and begin to pack a bag. I had a feeling I would be staying the night there. After I was done packing, I jogged the short way to Nala’s house. I knocked on the door and looked inside as Nami lead me in. Nala was sitting in the middle of two more of our friends with her head in her hands. On one side was Sophia, a tall girl with dirty blond hair and dazzling, brown eyes and on the other was Zera, a short girl with long, brown hair and a goofy attitude, not to mention her obsession with gaming we call her ‘Zombie Girl’. I hope that’s enough explanation.

“Come on don’t cry!” Sophia said, moving her blond hair out of her face.

“What happened?” I asked Nami as I walked over to the other couch with her.

“Ricky broke up with me!” she wailed. We all gasped in unison shock lining are faces.

“Why?” I asked.

Nala’s P.O.V

“Why?” Lola asked, clearly shocked.

“For a more popular girl” Nami answered for me. I attempted to wipe the tears from my eyes. So much for no more tears. I could literally see the blood rush from their necks to their faces. That is why I love my girls. They will always be there for me.

“He dumped you just like that?” Zera asked.

“He even used the ‘it’s me not you’ line on me,” I said trying to keep the tears back. They all gathered around me in a group hug.

“What would I do without you guys?” I asked to no one in particular.

“Nothing! They all said in unison.

Ricky’s P.O.V

I woke up hours later with a pounding headache. I couldn’t remember what happened. I got out of bed to wash my sore, red face. After that I went to the fridge to grab a beer. I looked at the figure on my couch. It’s Monica and she's clearly out cold. Then all the memories begin to return in a rush. I got beat up by some girl, who's face I couldn’t remember. I chugged two aspirins along with my beer and waited for Monica to come to.

“RICKY!” she shouted, looking around the room until she saw me sitting right next to her.

“What happened?” I asked her.

“I can’t remember…” she said reaching for my hand.

“You should go home.” I told her simply. “Why?” she asked confused.

“I thought we could have some fun,” she said with a seductive smile. I shook my head.

“Go home.” She is starting to piss me off.

“Fine, I’ll just find someone else to be my boyfriend!” she yelled, walking out of the door-less door frame. I shrugged and chugged my beer. I got up from the couch and walked down the hallway to my room. I stopped to look at myself in the mirror. I saw swollen lips, a black eye beginning to form and bruising all over my body. I punched the mirror in rage; I couldn’t stand to look at my own reflection. I sat on my bed, sighing.

“What have I gotten myself into?” I thought as I shook my head in frustration. Just because of what the world had, I’d made the one person whose opinion mattered the most to me hate me. She’s not one to take pain lightly; she’s going to come for me. I could feel it in my bones. I’m doomed! I remembered a few months ago, she beat up the quarterback for the football team.
