"Jessica we need to talk about it." David drilled as soon as I was back to consciousness.
"Ya can we talk, mmpf, about that later I, oh my go..." I gasped as I held my side, I was burning. "Dam." I looked up to him for help or comfort or anything, but he just stood there and looked at me with a scowl.
"You know you can be a real ass sometimes." I hissed as I attempted to get up.
"Jessica." He gave me a stern look, "I've been broken to many times before. I need to know what our kiss ment."
"You want to know what it ment?" I finally gave in, annoyence taking over. He nodded.
"Fine, it ment that all my emotions are comimg in in astounding loads and it hurts like hell, okay? And I just wanted to feel something other than pain. So I kissed you, and it was nice but now it's over and I feel worse than before. So if you could help me, that would be.." I was cut short by a feeling I hadn't had in almost 4 months: hunger.
"David?"
"What?"
"I'm, I'm hungry." I looked up to him with panick. His face exploded with surprise,
"Oh, well what do you want to eat?"
"I've been craving Chinese" I joked and he snickered,
"How about a grilled cheese or something microwaved?"
"What, don't have a professional shef in that master kichen of yours?"
"Please, if anyone was in this house I wouldn't be seen talking to you." He smiled,
"Why? She's a real beaut you got there." A voice that did not belong to David snickered from around a corner. David's eyes widened and I turned to him in pure panick.
A face peered around the corner with a smirk plastered it. He walked out in a magnificent suit that contrasted well on his skin. His eyes were the color of the sky on the morning of a tropical island while his black hair brushed perfectly on them.
"I mean sure, she's dead but if i know my brother he will not stop until he finds 'true love.'" The man teased sarcastically.
"Brother?" I mouthed to David.
"Well we know who got the looks obviously," the brother smiled gesturing towards himself, "but unlike my sibling here, I know that there is no such thing as 'true love' so I don't throw myself at any girl who looks at me for more than three seconds."
"What are you doing here, Ian?" David growled,
"Oh, just paying my dear brother a visit." Ian teased, "but look! I see you actually got a girl in your house, well sorta a girl. You got a fetish for dead people or something?" Confusion filled me, how could he act so calmly about it?
"Ian." David warned him deeply. How could these two be related? They are nothing alike. Ian just snickered as he brushed off his brothers threat and turned his attention to me,
"What's you name sweetheart?" A sudden rage filled me, reminding me more of how human I was becoming.
"Don't call me that." I spat and for the first time Ian actually looked taken back.
"Jeez, what's her problem?"
"She doesn't like nicknames." I could have sworn I saw David smile, but not as much as Ian as he burst into a loud laugh.
"Well!" He got out in between heavy breaths. I wondered why he found that so funny, nicknames were a sign of familiarness, and affection. I was not, nor have I ever been close enough to be familiar or affectionate with anyone. So I can't have nicknames. Simple.
But still, David's brother found this worth laughing at. I gave him a stern, scolding look, but it only earned a smile.
"Ok Ghosty, I won't give you any nicknames if you care to share with me what you prefer to be called, deal?" He held out his hand to seal the deal and I just stared at it in disgust.
"Oh right, different demension and all." He sighed and dropped his hand like he did it every day.
"Jessica."
"Jessica." He tried the words on his tongue. He then smiled a mischievous smile,
"Like Jessy? Or Jes?" Rage ignighted in me burning like a flame. Who does he think he is?
When seeing the reaction he got, Ian smiled even bigger. I let out a pained gasp as my burning rage turned to the now familiar burning of my veins.
"Awe! Owe! Oh God!" My crys sounded like a child as I tried to hold it together,
"What's happening to her?" Ian wondered aloud, his bad boy act cut short as sympathy filled his features.
"David!" I gasped, "it's happening again." He rushed to my side trying to ease my pain, but like before, he could do nothing.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
