Chapter 4 : Overcoming The Past.....

Morning 10.00 a.m.

Everyone are in the hall except Vansh and Atharv..... all of them are wearing white clothes....... they are sitting in front of a photo frame of a girl which has a garland....... the pandit is chanting some mantras.... it seems like some Shraadh pooja is going on.....

Inaaya is sitting emotionlessly holding Ishaani's hand... while Ishaani is caressing her back inorder to comfort her.... Dadi and Rudi were looking at the photo teary eyed.... Chanchal chachi is also looking at photo with sad expression..... Arijeet chacha was looking at photo blankly.... all were lost in memories of the person in the photo frame..... just than panditji said bringing all of them out of the trance....

Pandit :- maa ji , yajmaan ko bulaayye...vidhi ka muhurat nikla jaa raha hain....

Dadi :- ji panditji abhi bulaati hu..... ( she looked at Rudra) Rudra beta jao aur Atharv ko bulake lao... har saal wahi karta hain iss bhi wohi karega...

Rudra nodded and was about to get up but stops seeing Atharv decending the stairs.....

Rudra :- Dadi Atharv bhai aa gaye....
( Dadi looked in that direction and sighed... she got up quickly...)

Dadi :- kitni der lagadi beta.... tum jaante ho na aaj Ruhi ki barsi hain..... har saal waqt par aate ho aaj kya hua.... woh sab rehne do, ab jaldi aao.... panditji kabse intezaar kar rahe hain.....

Atharv reached down and stood in front of dadi....
Atharv :- har saal iss liye aata tha dadi kyu ki... woh meri zinmedaari thi aur iss saal pind daan main nahi karunga....

Dadi :- yeh tu kya keh raha hain Atharv.... agar tu nahi karega toh kaun karega.... ( dadi said bieng panicked everyone else looked at Atharv shocked and stood from their places.... Atharv maintained the stern face...)

Chanchal :- Atharv ke bajay sirf Vansh pind daan kar sakta hain.... aur woh toh hone nahi wala.... hum kya karenge maa ji... ( she asked acting bieng panicked)

Arjeet :- Atharv beta samajhne ki koshish karo... Ruhi ke liye tum itna toh kar hi sakte ho naa.... aur tum acchi tarah jaante ho.... Vansh.... (he trailed off... Inaaya who was standing there teary eyed went to Atharv and said....)

Inaaya :- yeh kaisi zid hain bhai aap aisa kyu kar rahe hain..... samajhne ki koshish karye....

( Atharv still had that stern look on his face.... )

Ishaani:- (in mind) Why is bhai acting so tough.... lagta hain Vansh bhai aur Atharv bhai ke bich kuch na kuch hua hain....oh God... inka jhagda bhi aaj ke hi din hona tha ab kya hoga....

Chanchal :- Ab Atharv aur Vansh pind daan nahi karna chahte toh hum kya kar sakte hain.... Rudra beta pind daan ki vidhi tum karo...

( everyone looked at her shocked.... a tear drop leaked Inaaya's eye.....)

Rudra :- Main yeh kabhi nahi karunga.... mom kuch bhi bolti hain aap.... you very well know ki Ruhi bhabhi ke pind daan par sirf Vansh bhai aur Atharv bhai ka haq hain.... (Inaaya, Ishaani, Arjeet and Dadi had a small smile on their lips... listening to Rudra while Atharv still maintained his stone face)
