~A Race For The Crown~

Destination

It was now the next morning and I was sitting on the dinning table with Samantha who was peeling fruits for our breakfast
"so where is your next destination?" Samantha asked without looking up at me
"back to the kingdom!" I say and she drops her knife
"WHAT? " she looks up at me with terror in her eyes
"are you for real Amelia! Your father will give you away to the monster itself! And I'm sure that disgusting king would not be happy and lord knows what he'll do to you! " she yells out
" Samantha I-

I stopped when I hear the news on the TV
"the magical realm would be picked up for 2 days at the end of the month for all the creatures to come back to their families..... Thanks to the kindness of all the kings! " the man on on TV exclaimed

" what is wrong with these people! Do they have any idea what they are deciding to do can destroy our world!"Samantha said

"not only ours but also the human world! " I exclaimed

" the creatures who don't know how to control their powers will destroy both the worlds..... Creatures with dark power!"I continue

"what are you saying? " Samantha asked

"these kings are planning to take over both the worlds.... They are chasing the wrong trophy!" I say

"so what does that have to do with you going back! " she asked

"Samantha I was just kidding.... I escaped to keep myself free! Why would i want to go back!" I say with a smile on my face

" you gave me a heart attack! " she sighed

I look back at the TV and see the important message disappear and the cartoons come up again

Emilie rushes towards her mother and Samantha picks her up Emilie had blond hair with beutiful brown eyes
"mommy are we going back to your universe? " she asks

Samantha looks at me and then back at Emilie

"no em we are not going their! "

"do you know that your aunt is a princess!"
Emilie looks up at me with her brown eyes covered slightly with her blond hair
"is it true? "she asks and I nod

Her expression changes to one of suspicion

"but where is your crown? " that took me off guard

I lost it.... I betrayed it

I shake these thoughts off

"back at the castle !"

She hops off of her mother's lap and rushes out of the room
After a minute she came back inside with her hands behind her back
She signaled me to bow down and I did so

She places a thing on my head and  when I see myself in the reflection of a window it was a crown I raised my hand and felt it

"momma gave me this crown but you can have it till you get yours back!"

And I felt that I felt a pang in my heart
I felt like I was running from my destination which was to rule the kingdom .

It was now the night time and I was sitting on my bed and looking for a job to do until I decide where to go

The door of my room creaked open and a sleepy Emilie walked inside with a stuffed bunny under her arm she rubbed her eyes and asked
"are you not sleepy? "

I smiled at her and patted the place beside me on my bed
She emmidiatly walks towards me and hops on the bed I tuck her under the covers and turn off my laptop
