6. Kisses

Xander's P.O.V

My class every Friday starts at eight in the morning, so I'm already on campus at seven thirty. I was on my way to my locker when I noticed the familiar blond hair waiting in front of my locker, wearing her cheer leading uniform. I fix my clothes and my hair before I approach her with a smile.

"Hello Lena, good morning." I greeted when I was finally standing next to her.

"Good morning to you too." She said and smile at me.

"To what do I this pleasure of you waiting here in front of my locker?" I ask and lean on my said locker, staring at her lovingly. I've missed talking to her and you'll never know how hard it is to stop myself everyday from talking to her, it will definitely be worth it soon enough.

"I just heard and interesting story from one of my friends'." She said, making me slightly nervous. "I heard that you and my sister are hanging around a lot lately. What's with you two? Tired of chasing me?" She laugh and reach out for my tie, playing with it.

"I won't get tired of chasing you. Me and Luna are friends and she's helping me to win you over." I tried to look at her confidently, rubbing her left hand that's playing with my tie. "It was suppose to be a secret from you, but I guess I'm busted." I'm going to hell, I know.

"Is that so? Well, if that's the case then I'll pretend not knowing anything and will wait on what you might do. Can't wait." She said seductively and kiss me on the cheek before walking away, leaving me wanting more. I sigh before I open my locker before feeling Oliver's hand smacking me on the back.

"Yo! I just saw that. The plan's working isn't it?" He shake my shoulder in excitement and although I'm happy, my guilt and conscience growing inside my gut made me feel uneasy. "What's wrong?"

"My guilt is killing me man and I need to end this before it explodes." I admitted to him.

"Woah dude, after coming this far? Dude, I suggest you think about this more carefully. You'll lose Lena and this will all be for nothing." He pat my shoulder and hold my gaze.

"Yes, I'll get Lena, but in exchange I hurt her sister instead and if Drake learns about this, he'll kill me." I rub my forehead in frustration.

"It's too late to back out now, just hang in there." He said and went on to greet his other friends. With determination, I texted Luna, asking her to go with me somewhere after school. After sending that message, I shut my locker and head to my first class.

I need to end things with Luna, I can at least do that.

I change into a black trousers and and a white shirt before going down the stairs. "Mom, I'm going out for a bit." I kiss her cheek before grabbing my keys on the counter.

"Where are you going?" She turn to me and place her hand on her hip. "Your dad had a big break on his job and we're celebrating."

"I need to meet someone, I'll try and be back before dad." I said while putting on my coat. I'm picking Luna on campus, since her class ends at six thirty.

"Why not invite your girlfriend over?" She said and put the lamb chops in the oven before looking at me expectantly.

"What?"

"You're meeting your girlfriend right? Why not invite her for dinner?" She shrug.

"Not a good idea since I'm breaking up with her." I smile awkwardly.

"Oh dear. Is she bad news?" No, your son is.

"No ma. It's just not working out." I muttered before going out to avoid further questions from her. I went inside my car and took a moment to build confidence before I start the engine and drove towards the campus. I stop my car in front of Luna who was waiting for me and waited for her to get in, she kiss my cheek before putting on her seat belt.  I first brought her to a diner to get something to eat before continuing on driving towards the park nearby. We hop on to the hood of my car and place the food we bought between us, before looking at the starry sky.

Why does it have to be so beautiful tonight? It's making me more feel bad on what I'm about to do.

"Are you okay?" I heard her ask. "You seem to be in a very deep thought." She stated and brought a chip to my mouth which I reluctantly accept.

"Yeah. I'm just thinking how beautiful the night is." I replied and look at her stare at the sky while eating chips.

"You're right. You really know how to set a very nice date, thank you." She said and hold my hand. I had to swallow the lump on my throat and squeeze her hand gently.

Do it Xander.

"So, how was your day?" I ask instead. 

"It was exhausting, but a good kind of exhausting." She said and feed me another chip. "I need to make a 3D design of a museum and I still don't know to design the structure. What about you? How was your day?"

"It was so-so." I shrug. "We have an upcoming game this Saturday evening and so practice is more tiring than usual."

"Good luck and I'm sure you'll win it." She pick up the bottle of water and took a sip. I stared at her happy face and I'm losing my courage to end things with her, she looks so happy that I feel like I don't want to take that away, not tonight. "Stop staring." She chuckle and covered my face with her hand.

"Why? I like staring at you." I tease and removed her hands away from my face and lock it with mine. I set aside the food and pull her closer to me until we're sitting so closely next to each other.

"It's embarrassing." She said and hide her face using her hair and look back at me. "Just being with you makes my heart go wild and if you stare at me, I might have a heart attack." She confess, making me speechless and I did the unthinkable. 

I lean forward and kiss her on the lips, she stiffen for a brief second and then responded. I put my hand at the back of her neck and kiss her deeper and I tasted cherry, I was confuse why I tasted cherry so I pull away and realize it's her lipstick. Luna has her eyes close and so I kiss her again, prying her mouth open before slowly forwarding my tongue inside her mouth and kiss her deeper.

"Wow." She whispered after we pulled away for a much needed air, I peck her lips a few times before fully pulling away from her. She stare at my lips and giggle before wiping off her lipstick that was around my mouth using her thumb.

"I better take you home." I hop off and help her down before grabbing the leftovers and put it at the back of my car before we both get in and drove to her house.

It didn't take us long to get there, she remove her seat belt and lean in to kiss my cheek and was about to open the door when I pull her and kiss her lips again. "Goodnight Winter." I said after we pulled away.

"Goodnight Xandy and please drive safely." She quickly kiss me again before finally stepping out of my car and wave at me before opening their front door.

After making sure she got in, I start my engine again and drove home feeling more guilty and the shittiest person in the world.
