Isabel’s POV

The sun shine directly at my face, causing me to wake up. I made my way to the bathroom, brushing my teeth and fixing myself to look somewhat pleasant. As I walked downstairs, I could smell burnt food. “Louis, you’re burning the pancakes!”, Zayn screamed. They were all gathered around the kitchen, which was covered with all sorts ingredients. “Morning Izzy!”, Niall greeted me. Everyone else faced me, completely forgetting about the food they were ruining. “You guys are here so early!”, I mumble while opening the fridge. “Its the perks of living next door.”, Niall pointed out. I had completely forgotten that Niall was my next door neighbor. It felt like so long when he would come over and do crazy stuff with Louis. “Louis, mom is going to kill you. You better clean this mess up.”, I warned him. “You are planning to help me right?”, he asked giving me a big smile. I shook my head, making him move aside so I could make the pancakes. I dispose of the dark black pancake, and put some batter in the pan. Once I finished, I placed the stack full of pancakes on the table watching the guys devour it. “Aren’t you going to join us?”, Niall asked with a mouth of pancake. I looked at him with disgust, and laughed. “I don’t like pancakes.”, I stated. I went through the cupboards grabbing myself of a bowl. I poured milk and cereal in it, and joined the boys at the table. “How can you not like pancakes? It’s like not liking cats or girls!, Harry proclaimed. “I’m sorry? But I’m allergy to cats and I’m not a lesbian.”, I teased. Harry gasp, it was like his world just ended once I said that. “Its a pity, you are really pretty, but it just won’t work out between us.”, he utter. “I don’t think it would have ever worked out either way.”, I laughed. “And why is that, do you fancy anyone?”, Harry smirk. I felt my stomach drop, and I look directly at my cereal bowl. There was only milk left, and so I it chugged down so I could avoid the question. I put down the bowl, grabbing a napkin to wipe the white mustache on my face. Everyone was looking at me, anxious to hear an answer. “I don’t fancy anyone.”, I lied hoping I sounded believable. I got up, to put my bowl in sink so I could avoid eye contact. It was like they were integrating me to say that I had a major crush on Niall. “So you fancy no one.”, Niall repeated. “Yes, I believe thats what I just said.”, I claimed. “She’s lying!”, Louis screamed. It was like Louis saw right through my lies, and I was trying my best to cover up the truth. They all started to walk towards me, with deviously grins plastered on their faces. I found myself unconsciously taking steps backwards till I hit the cold fridge door. I was surrounded by FIVE of them. Louis quickly started to tickling and fell of the floor, filling the kitchen room with laughter. “STOP.”, I begged. But Louis didn’t stop. My eyes filled with water, and I continued to laugh. “Now tell us who you fancy and we’ll stop!”, Liam negotiated. What was I going to tell them? That I liked Niall who was right next to me! I had to make up a name, someone, anyone. “Alright, his name is Conor!”, I said between laughs. Louis finally stopped tickling, and I gasp for air. I sat up, pulling my legs close to my chest. My stomach felt so numb and sore, it was just dreadful. “Thanks for nearly killing me.”, I said sarcastically. “Who’s this Conor kid?”, Niall asked. He seem annoyed, I don’t know why, he wasn’t the one who was tickled half to death. “He’s my close friend at school.”, I replied still breathing heavily. I wasn’t lying about Conor, he was my close friend, but I didn’t like him.

*Monday*

Monday mornings are the worst things in the world! To make things even more dreadful, my car broke down, and the guys had to take me to school. Like having girls ask me about them wasn’t aggravating enough. “Can you guys drop me off a few blocks away from school.”, I asked. “Why? You embarrassed to be seen with us?”, Zayn teased. “No, I still want to live. Plus, I don’t find it a nice way to die by getting mob by whole bunch of crazy directioners!”, I whined. I guess, Louis got paranoid at the fact I might get attacked, because he agreed. As I was walking, I started to regret asking to get drop off this far. When I finally got through the front door of my school, my best friend Abby grab me. She didn’t even give me time to breathe, she just started to drag me to who knows where. “Where the heck are you taking me?!”, I argued trying to pull away from her tight grip. “Auditorium!”, she happily said. Why would we go there? We didn’t even have an assembly today. Abby was so weird, I sometimes wonder why I even put up with her. She hurried into the front door of the auditorium, still holding on to me. She didn’t even notice that I almost slam my face into a door! When we entered the auditorium, it was a bit dim. “What are we doing in here?”, I questioned her. She gave me a freakish grin, she was definitely up to something. As I took another step, I felt like I had step on something, nothing to revolting but I could still feel it. I looked down at my feet, and I noticed a red rose petal. A few more were a head of me, sort of making a path. I followed it, completely forgetting about Abby. The path ended on top of the stage, where I found a bouquet of roses. I was a bit afraid to pick it up, thinking it was some type of prank. I leaned down, and once I touch the clear wrapper of the roses, the spot light turn on me. I was trying hard not to freak out, and maintain my calmness. I somehow found a way to still read the note inside the roses, and thats when I started to believe it was a legit prank. Roses are red, violets are blue, I know this is corny, but do you mind accompanying me to homecoming? “Whoever wrote this, sucks at poems.”, I said through the mic in front of me. I heard chuckling, and before I knew it, a boy with dark brown hair descended from top of the control booth to the front audience. “Conor?”, I said squinting my eyes. He moved a little closer to the light, where I could see his perfect smile. “Well…”, he said anxious to know. It’s ironic how I told the guys that I supposedly liked Conor, and then he does this. I really didn’t know what to tell him, I didn’t want to reject him, but I didn’t want to go with him either. “Yeah, I loved too.”, I said with a fake smile. I mean what was I going to say “sorry Conor, I’m in love with my brothers best friend, but he doesn’t love me back!”. That would be the awful, not to mention desperate. Plus I think it’s a good thing to give my heart chance with someone else. I was stuck in my thoughts to even realize that Conor was already swinging me around, full of excitement. “You’ve made me the happiness guy on earth!”, he literally shouted. I was speechless, not because I was happy he liked me, but because of the fact he did this. Was I really ready to move forward from loving Niall, or was I just lying to myself by using Conor.
