Paws and Claws - A Meowscles x Dire fanfiction

Backstories

In this Chapter I will just be giving each of the characters a backstory on how Meowscles and Dire came to the Apollo Island.

Dire's Backstory

Dire's life has always been interesting. At first, he lived a humble life in Wailing Woods on Athena Island. He lived in a log cabin in the northern section of the wood, and didn't leave the forest often. He spent most of his time there, only leaving if necessary, or to hang out with friends. Not that he had many of those anyways. Then, a few months after he settled in the woods, they became volcanically active and destroyed his home, leaving a large jungle and volcano in it's place. He then proceeded to live in Lonely Lodge up until the end. One day while he was walking in the forest, he heard some loud bangs. Seconds later, he saw a multitude of rifts open in the sky. He ran to watchtower to try and get a view on what was happening,  but by the time he got to the top, it all went dark. Then, he woke up on Apollo Island. He was in a town that the locals called "Holly Hedges". He learned a few days later that the Zero Point on Athena was destroyed by an organization know as "The Seven". Many of Athena's residents are missing, but a few survivors were brought to Apollo. Dire settled down in Holly Hedges, has  a job at a flower shop, and has been living a normal life since.

Meowscles's Backstory

Meowscles has always been the odd one out. He was made as a genetic experiment by Ghost, a spy organization, to attempt to make an elite force of super soldiers. They made him via modifying his MSGN gene, the one which creates myostatin, which controls muscle growth. This led to Meowscles being abnormally buff and humanoid. He also has the intelligence of a human, but still has some feline instincts. As long as he can remember, he has been being trained by the leader of Ghost himself, Midas. Meowscles training was cut short when Ghost nemesis, Shadow, took over the island. Meowscles was informed he would be sent towards the island with one of his fellow students, Skye, and Midas. He would go there on Midas's yacht, The Marigold, and his mission was to defend the yacht, as that would be the home for most soldiers there. The island he was headed towards was called Apollo. He had never heard of this place before, but he had a feeling it was of importance.
