Chapter 2 - The Date

Meowscles POV

It's the next day, and Meowscles just woke up.  He wants to try to meet up with Dire today.

I just woke up, and noticed I had a text from a new number on my phone. So I rolled over and picked up my phone. The message read "Is this Meowscles? This is Dire from last night.". I blushes as I remembered the night before. God, he was so cute.

I texted him "Yep, this is the right number. Do you want to maybe meet up later?".

Within minutes he received a response saying "Sure, do you have any ideas where?".

I texted back quickly "I'm new here, so I don't really know many places.".

He replied "I think I have an idea, meet me at Craggy Cliffs around 5ish, is that ok?"

I said yes, and started getting ready for the day. I was gonna take out the helicopter to survey the island to find any possible Shadow hideouts, and then report them to Midas. That was my mission today, so I had a pretty easy day. I was basically done by 1:30. After that, I flew high up to get the lay of the land. The island has many rivers converging into the center, which is where the HQ is getting built. Midas said it will be called The Agency. To the south east there were mountains, and to the southwest there was a Swamp. I also so something shaped like a missile silo, which I'll report to Midas. I didn't see much else of interest. When I went to the yacht, it was about 3. I decided to get ready for the "date", and then head on my way to Craggy Cliffs.

Dire's POV

I was waiting outside the Fish Sticks restaurant when I saw Meowscles's whiplash come into view. The second he came out of the car, I was fixated on his muscular build. His chiseled abs, his large biceps, he was just so sexy in general. 

"My eyes are up here, Dire." He told me. I was so fixated on his muscles I didn't even notice he was there.

"Oh,  uh, hey Meowscles!" I blushed while I said that.

"You like my muscles, eh?" He told me.

"Uh, yeah, a lot." I was blushing so hard when I said that.

"You know, you look really good in that crop top." He said while he was blushing. 

"Th-Thanks" I blushed extremely hard.

"So, do you like fish?" I asked him, still red from blushing.

"Heh, yeah." He responded.

I pulled him into the restaurant where we had a nice, romantic, date. We discussed our origin stories, and how we both came to Apollo. I told him how I was from Athena and what happened there. He told me how he works for Ghost, the enemies of Shadow. He also said that he is one of the people on that yacht that came. He had a pretty interesting story. After the dinner, I had a surprise for him.

"Hey Meowscles, I got something for us" I told him.

"What is it?" He asked me.

"Just follow me." I told him.

I brought Meowscles down to the beach, I showed him the small boat I rented out for us. It was going to take us out over the ocean, while we watch the sunset. Meowscles offered to row the boat out, and I just couldn't stop watching his biceps as he rowed. 

"This spot seems good, you can stop." I told him when we were about 300 meters from shore.

"Got it." He replied as he slowed the boat.

We talked until the sun started to set. We talked about our favorite things, I told him about Apollo and things to do here. He told me as much as he could about why he was here, but he said most of it was classified. He told me about Ghost and Shadow, and their origins. When the was setting, I leaned in for a kiss. Once of lips touched, we didn't stop. We made out for at least 5 minutes before we realized the sun had set. Meowscles then rowed us back to shore. Before he left, he asked me one thing.

"Do you want to come to the yacht for some fun?" He asked in a suggesting voice. Then he winked.

I blushed, the said "Sure", then I giggled a little.

Then we both hopped into his whiplash and made our way towards the yacht...
