A young Jungkook ran across the basketball court in his new Nike shoes. His classmate passes the ball to him and he gets ready for the layup and shoots the ball into the hoop. His classmates cheer as he scores the winning point.

Jungkook's Mom spent a lot of time figuring out how to get the shoes with the checkmarks the boy had adorned on his little feet. Jungkook up until 4th grade didn't care that his shoes had a checkmark and neither did his classmates. The only thing he is ever noticed was that when he walked into the classroom in the morning, the teachers' eyes would go wide. Jungkook was too young to understand why, but the L's and V's covering his jacket made adults act differently around him.

But being as young as he was this didn't affect him enough for him to notice. But things started to change at the age of 11 when children started to acquire the same convoluted ideologies as their parents about class and race.

Sadly, for Jungkook his parents weren't the most active participants in his life, the only time he was with his family was at his father's business parties or his mother's get-togethers. He enjoyed those moments the most, for even the fraction of a second in which the boy could even pretend that his family loved him. The thing that he failed to realize was that his parents did love him to pieces, but growing up the way they did, they weren't very proficient at expressing that love to their child, so they did it the only way they knew how, spending time getting him things they thought would make him happy.

Being as wealthy as they were, his parents still chose to send their son to a public school simply based on the fact that they happened to be very socially isolated as children, creating difficulties in their teen years as formal conversation was not really something teens engaged in. But his parents' ignorance of public high school would have grave repercussions in the future.

In the 6th grade, Jungkook pulled up to William Peterson Middle School in a 2012 BMW 328, grabs his backpack, and rushes out the door. He looks around taking in the chipping paint on the wall, the broken gate, and the fading mural on the concrete he stands upon.

His first day at school was interesting, all the students too nervous to talk to anyone, sneakily eyeing each other and taking notice of their classmates' cheeks, their nails, their eyes, their quirks, and habits. It wasn't long enough to notice anything of too much importance but just enough to know who he wanted to be friends with and who was to be avoided.

He walked around during the passing period and noticed as the corner of his eye's kids of all ages taking glances at him, they thought they were unnoticed, but Jungkook registered it all. He thought something was wrong with him.

"Yes, Jungkook", said Ms.Parker, his History Teacher.

"May I go to the restroom?" Jungkook asked in a muted voice. The teacher immediately said "Yes." and the now self-conscious boy rushed out of the bathroom. To check himself: his face, his hair, his hands, his neck, his clothes; he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Not noticing anything odd, he stood there in the repulsive boys' restroom in thought as to what sparked inquiring looks he was being thrown.
