CHAPTER 5: Beasts Of The Woods (AGNST??)

(I'm sorry this took so long to come out, I forgot about this story, but it's out now so I hope you enjoy! I hope this chapter moves everything along a bit faster, and the I thought the music I chose really gives this chapter a nice atmosphere, so give it a listen while you read! ^^ )

Nicky POV:

I've been at Camp Campbell for a few weeks now and I've grown to like it, well at least more than I liked being back home with my mother. And I've made friends with the all campers, especially with Harrison, he actually made me his assistant for his magic shows, the only one i don't get along is Nurf, I'm pretty much his punching bag now. I was walking to my tent after a long day of activities, and walked past Ziva who was doing her nightly rounds, walking around the camp to make sure everyone is safe. Ziva has been pretty nice from the day that she arrived but shes also not afraid to speak mind, I kept walking and then I heard someone call my name "Pssst, Nicky over here!" I looked over at the bushes to see Nikki waving for me to come over. I quickly turned around to check that no one was around, and then quickly ran over to her "Nikki what are you doing?" I whispered "shouldn't you be in your tent-" Nikki put a finger over my mouth "shhhh, follow me!" Nikki then grabbed my hand and ran into the woods dragging me along wow shes fast.
after a bit of running we got to a place with a small 'campfire' and Neil and Max were sitting together by the fire "hey Max!" Nikki said "I got Nicky just like you said!" what would they need me for this time? destroying Mess Hall? Holding David captive to take over the camp? "good job Nikki, now both of you sit down" Max said, Nikki grabbed my arm and we both sat down "ok so our past attempts at escaping this s**thole of a camp haven't worked" escape? why would they want to escape? "but I have a new plan, and this time we have Nicky on our team". "Wait, why would you guys want escape from camp?" "because it's a f**king scam!" yelled Neil "this isn't Science camp, or Adventure camp, or Baking camp!!" Max quickly shushed Neil "keep it down you'll bring attention to ourselves!" (I didn't know how else to word it lol) "well he's right...oh well ok! lets get out of this place!" I smiled at Max and he just gave me a small nod "ok then, everyone go get your things and meet me back here in 5 minutes" we all nodded and rushed off to our tents, I made sure Harrison was asleep and quickly packed up most of my things. Before I left the tent I looked over at Harrison who was peacefully sleeping, I felt my cheeks heat up a bit I'm sorry Harrison...hope you won't miss me too much.. then I got an idea, I wrote Harrison a quick note and left it by his sleeping bag, I gave him a small kiss on the cheek and then I ran off and headed to the meeting place. Nikki, Neil, and Max were already there. "ok we're all here, now what were gonna do now get to town by cutting through the woods" Max said "uh I dunno Max" said Neil in a nervous tone "sounds pretty dangerous-" Max cut him off "we
ll be fine, plus if anyone sees us on the streets they'll surely drag us back here, besides, we have Nikki to protect us, now lets get going" we all just quietly nodded and Max put out the campfire. As we walked through the woods I felt like we were being watched, so I tried to shake it off by making small talk with the others "so...what are you guys going to do on the outside?" Nikki spoke up "I'll probably go try to get raised by wolves, pee on stuff, what about you Neil?" "I'll go to my dads house and tell him that mom sent me to an abusive summer camp, tend to like him more so she'll try to buy back my love" said Neil "thats pretty dark Neil, how bout you Nicky?" Nikki asked "I'll probably go into town to sell my pasteries to make some money so I can afford an apartment, I really don't wanna go back to live with my mom, and what about you Max?" he didn't reespond, he stopped dead in his tracks,seemed to be focused on something else "Max?..". Finally he managed to squeak out something "run.." we all looked at eachother confused but the we found out whst Max was looking at, what looked like a robotic purple bunny towered over us, but it was all torn up so parts of its endoskeleton were visible, it had a second unhinged mouth, and both were covered in sharp teeth, and boils covered the metalic body. (yes the twisted ones are in here so what? fight meh)
We all started to back up slowly "RUUUNNNN!" yelled Neil as he dashed of into the bushes, we quickly turned around and ran as fast as our pre pubesent legs would take us "What the hell was that thing!?!" I yelled "I dunno but it's coming after us!!" Neil yelled as he grabbed my arm pulling my along because I was falling behind.
