I'm off to camp again and one half of me hoped that I didn't have to go to a stupid quest again, but the other half made me excited. I've grew taller, maybe about six-foot? Anyway I didn't see Ingrid at the entrance this time but I had no time to look I had to unpack.
"BOO!" a voice yelled that made me jump. It was Ingrid! She didn't grow much but her long curly blond hair did. It was tied up in a ponytail and she laughed at how scared I got.
"Ha ha very funny Ingrid" I said giving her a funny face making her laugh more.
"This time I'm coming to your cabin so that I don't lose you," she said.
We arrived at the cabin, Ingrid was blabbing like she always does. I never know what she says though. I finally finished unpacking and I hope I don't have repack again.
"Jeff?" she asked thinking I heard her.
"Huh, what did you say. I didn't hear." I said.
"Are you excited for the prom that our head counselor had planned for us? I cant wait but I have no one to go with," she said sadly. Her long hair made it hard to tell.
"We umm... can go.... together." I stuttered. I did like but what if she didn't like me.
"Yes! Wait, like a couple or friends 'cause I need a boy that's not a friend?" she asked still sad.
"Up to you I said more confident. I don't really care." I said. she hugged me so tight I couldn't breath. She noticed that my face turned blue and she stopped then said.
"Then you're my boyfriend Jeff. Is that okay?" she asked happier then ever.
"That's okay with me," I said not trying to sound too excited that we were, well you know what I mean.
We went back to the entrance when someone said.
"Jeff! Did you bring the amulet! It's urgent! Hurry! Go to the nursery!" Mathew yelled from what seemed a mile or so. I ran as fast as I could holding the amulet tightly. Mathew was their crying. Nothing was wrong with him.It was his brother, Jonny, that was hurt.
"What happened to him and why do you want the amulet?" I asked as calm as I could.
"Do as I tell you okay Jeffrey?" the head counselor asked me.
"Okay what do I have to do?" I asked ready as I'd ever been. I hoped that I didn't have to use it but that happens a lot when I say stuff like that.
"Take it off your neck, then place the bottom where he's hurt and say these words, "Heal thy wound with all my might, I shall be there for the fight," but don't say it too loud or do it when it isn't necessary," he said. This got me confused I couldn't understand why he said that but I listened and said it, not too loud and promised not to do it unless it was necessary. Jonny instantly woke up from death and said.
"Wasn't I dead?"
"No, you passed out," I lied to him.
I walked back out and saw Ingrid there at the entrance of the nursery. She got up once she saw me. I gave her a hug and said.
"I healed Mathew's brother," I said still in shock.
"You healed his brother? How did you do that?" she too was in shock and seemed to believe me. Well I guess we did have a crazy summer last year so this is almost a nothing.
"I used the amulet, Ingrid. I said a phrase and held the bottom of it to Jonny. He's alive now though," I told her and reassured her. I noticed we were still hugging so I let go immediately as she did the same. I walked to the tables and Samantha came toward us.
"Hey Woods! Lets talk alone shall we?" she said with an evil grin on her face that reminded me about those psychopathic people that lots of people know about. I turned to her.
"What?" I said looking evilly at her.
"I have a favour to ask of you and your amulet?" she asked this time more nicely.
"Nope not helping. your problem not mine," I said and turned around.
"Wait, please I beg you! My friend hurt. She's bleeding real bad and I don't want her to die! Please, Jeff, please!" she cried louder every step I took. I turned around and went toward her hurt friend who was about to pass out. I healed her as fast as I could and went toward the dining area. Ingrid sat at an empty table waiting for me. I sat next to her and Mathew joined us. He was happier now that his brother wasn't dead.
"Thank you so much man that's why you're the best friend ever!" He said.
"It was nothing Mathew. I know that I'm the best. Oh and umm. How do I say this?" I answered Mathew.
"Me and Jeff are together. We're going to prom together!" She shouted so loud all the people at the dining area heard. My face turned red. I put my hood on hoping none saw my face. She looked a bit sad that I got embarrassed. I took off my hood any brown hair was a mess. They both looked a bit shocked for some reason then I remembered. I had also let my hair grow. It was now up to my shoulders. I looked at her beautiful green eyes and said.
"Is there a problem Ingrid? I just didn't bother getting my haircut that's all,"
"You look like him, Jeff that's why we're shocked. I never notice that even those blue eyes and brown hair makes you like him," Mathew said no longer in shock. I knew who he was talking about, But I never believed him when he said that.
"Dude I'm not like him you know that. I might look like him but I'm not him okay," I yelled not too loud but enough for him to shut up.
