Chapter 3 Day of Truth

I woke up the next morning ready for a big day and noticed the bag of pearls. What I saw was true. From a fire creature to the bag of pearls. I got dressed and went to the dining area. everyone was awake. I noticed that Ingrid was crying! So was Mathew! I ran to them.

"You guys okay?"I asked. They immediately got up and gave me a hug. I hugged them back and they smiled.

"You didn't die?" Mathew asked happy to see I wasn't dead.

"No, but Hades is my dad. I saw them both. Persephone was literally crying," I said.

"Are you serious? That's just a dream, Jeff. That's your imagination," Ingrid said thinking I was joking.

"No! I'm serious! Look at this!" I said showing them the bag of pearls.

"Is that Persephone's pearls?" Mathew asked interested.

"Yes it is she gave it to me,"I said.

"They set up a search party to find you. We have to tell Drone," they both said at the same time.

"Okay lets go!" I said getting up. We went to the head counsellor's cabin. He saw my face and smiled.

"Attention, search party there is no need to search for Jeffrey. He is here with me," Drone said smiling. I left after he said that and went to my cabin. They both followed like I was the owner and they were the pets. They kept laughing for some reason and I don't know why.

We all sat down and began to chat.

"What happened over there Jeff. Did he hurt you," Mathew said looking worried.

"No he put me in a room full of mirrors and made me have to follow his voice. He said that he'd bring me to safety. I followed his voice and he didn't try to kill me. He just looked at me and smiled. I didn't believe him at first, but then Persephone was crying and gave me a hug that could killed me," I said lying down on my bed.

"So you believe him? I mean it isn't that obvious. She could have been forced to do that," Mathew said still not believing me.

"No if she was forced to she wouldn't had red eyes after she stopped crying," I said.

"You are right Jeff, but what did she say about the pearls?" Ingrid asked.

"Only to use them when I'm in the underworld. I only used one though," I said answering all the questions they could have asked.
