"Dad! Wake up! Wake up!" I yelled bouncing on his bed, receiving a groan in the process.

"Serephina dear I'm awake." He chuckles. "Why don't you go and make sure you've got all your things ready. I'll be down shortly and well have a spot of breakfast before we head to the station yea?" I signed standing up and yanking the covers off of him.

"I have! Double and triple checked at that. I'll go start cooking and grab the paper. Hurry up!" I skipped off as he started mumbling. I got our food put on the table and was coming in with the paper as my dad sat down at the table. I kissed his cheek and handed him the paper. "Are you excited to be teaching now? I know that you'll be happy keeping an eye on me at the very least." I laughed as I started eating. What I didn't notice at first was how it was quiet, and not because my dad had started eating. "Dad?"

I looked up seeing my dads brows furrowed as he read the front page of the paper. I stood from my seat moving next to him to place my hand on his shoulder, causing him to jump.

"Sorry dear. D… did you say something?" He quickly tried to fold the paper up but I managed to see what was wrong.

"Dad you can talk to me ya know. Ive heard all about Sirius. He was one of your best friends, you're allowed to be worried." I leaned into his side as he stood from his seat. "I know what they say, and I know what even you have said…" I paused pulling away and looking up with a small smile. "However I honestly don't think he did it based off of how close you all were."

"If only it were that simple darling. Anyhow, go get your things and well head off. Wouldn't want to miss the train would we." I smiled and headed for my room. I was only two when everything happened, but in my gut I can feel he didn't do it. My dad on the other hand was quite older and only relies on facts.

Once we got to the train dad said he was fine with me going off on my own. But in reality I think he was under the impression that id be too embarrassed to be seen with him. Which to be clear I would not. A lot of people don't know who my dad is, except of course the people I call friends. Again not because I'm embarrassed, but because my dad and mom gave me her last name because of my dad being a half blood. Hes a werewolf, though not by choice seeing as it was forced on him… When they had me, he was worried I would have to live the same way, but I didn't get the same curse.

I made my way to the compartment my friend Katie and I usually use only to find her already waiting.

"Serephina!" She squealed. I laughed pulling her into a hug as soon as I sat down. "Tell me everything! Is your dad excited! I just know he is going to be keeping a close watch on you this year seeing that no boys make it close." She giggled. We took our time catching up for the first few hours, before the door slid open reveling three boys we knew well.

"Hello, Katie, Serephina. Do you ladies mind if we three join you two? Seems as though the others have gotten tired of these twos pranks already." Lee Jordan spoke as he pointed behind him at my two favorite boys. Katie nodded and the three of them sat across from us.

"Raising havoc already boys?" I raised an eyebrow with a smirk.

"Say Serephina, could we interest you in a fainting fancy?"

"Ease off George. You and Fred should at least say hello and let me breath before trying to sell me on more of your pranks." I laughed at the School pranksters, Beaters for the Quidditch team, and overall class clowns. They will trick anyone and I do mean anyone that will fall for it.

You know, its been five years and I still can rarely tell them apart. I don't know how you manage. They always switch it up around everyone." Katie smirked. See Katie knows a secret and while she won't say it outloud, she never misses a chance to point it out to me.

Because she and I both know I could already tell the difference... The one who offered me the candy; George has a bump on his nose and his eyes are a bit more slanted and face a little longer than his brother.

Fred, I had noticed that his face is shorter, and a little bit rounder, also his jaw is set differently. His eyes are not as slanted and are deeper than Georges and seem a bit are wider. His top lip is straight, while his brother's is curved. Not to mention he is more vocal out of the two. And if I am being honest with myself self he was the first I had noticed.

I hadn't noticed that I had zoned out still with a smile on my face, until the train came to a fast stop.

"Are we there already?" Katie asked as I  stood from my seat to look out the door. All of a sudden the lights shut off and it got extremely cold, almost like there was no warmth left in the world. The glass on the door started to frost over with Ice and the next thing I knew there was a figure floating right outside of our compartment. I was frozen in fear and didn't move fast enough. The compartment door started to open and I was yanked backwards into someone's arms, snapping me back into my surroundings. I knew what these creatures were. My dad taught me about them, and just as fast as it was there it was gone and I felt like I could breath again. It was still freezing but we would manage.

"What the bloody hell was that!?" I heard Katie yell as I looked to where her voice came from. I was now sitting on Freds lap,  with his arm round my waist. I didn't think to comment on that though. I could feel my face heating up

"It was a dementor..." Everyone looked at me. "You know the creatures that guard Azkaban? They are said to be able to suck out a soul. They fed off happiness and despair. My father taught me a little about them. They must be looking for Sirius Black..."

The cab was silent for a few minutes, and I slowly started to move out of the Freds arms.

"I'll be right back, need to find the ladies room." I walked out and immediately started searching for my dad, who I spotted leaving the driver's area. "Dad!" I squeaked and ran up to him.

"Serephina! What in Merlin's name are you doing roaming around?" He questioned.

"I had to come to see if you could enlighten me on how or why there were dementors on board. I assume because of Sirius, but you have told me about them… but dad it was horrible one opened our cab door and I…I couldn't move I was so so scared and I felt like every happy memory I had was gone. What about you though. Are you okay?"

"Oh, my dear I'm fine, perfectly fine... I'm afraid they are indeed searching for Sirius Black. The cab I had sat in just so happened to have a lone git that decided to try sucking the soul out of poor Harry. Suppose I chose the right cab for the journey." I sighed well at least this is already more exciting than being at home.

"Wait! Harry as in Harry Potter?" I smiled. I knew it was only a matter of time before dad came across him. Ive been keeping an eye on him with everything going on but now i suppose dads taken on that role. He sighed trying to hide his smile. He put his hands on my shoulders as he tried to turn me around and push me back the way I came. I stood firm and held open my arms. He gave me a short hug.

"Now go on. Get! We should be arriving in no time now and I will not see you until dinner and I am sure you don't want me to embarrass you by saying hello." He gave me a tighter hug and pushed me back towards that cabs. I smiled and waved goodbye as I slipped back into mine. This is going to be one hell of a year.

Slipping back into my compartment with a sigh, I noticed everyone had switched around seats. Now Katie was between George and Lee laughing about something they were talking about with Fred on the opposite bench. I sat next to him with a huff as his arm went around my shoulder. I leaned into him, resting my head on his shoulder.

To anyone else, and to myself if I didn't know any better it would look like we were more than friends. And as much as I wish that were the case, this was just normal for us and for George as well. The two of them are my best friends. Were closer than even Katie and I. The twins were just touchy.

"Your father alright Seph?" I nodded, smiling at the nickname. Fred is the only one who calls me that. Not even George uses it.

"Yea, he did say they're definitely looking for Sirius Black though. I have a feeling this isn't the last we'll see of them." I mumbled with a shiver. I felt Fred tighten his arm pulling me closer to his body heat. "Im scared Freddie." I said as I dozed off on him.

"I'll keep you safe." I was already so close to sleep, that I couldn't even appreciate the sincerity in his voice.
