*Probably a hand full of grammar and maybe spelling errors as I haven't proof read very well*

Once we had gotten to the school we all headed for the cafeteria for the welcome from Dumbledore. I was sat between the twins with a good view of my father in front. I smiled softly knowing how happy he was to be able to teach, instead of the jobs he had been doing.

"Welcome! Welcome to another year at Hogwarts. Now, I'd like to say a few words... before we all become too befuddled by our excellent feast." Dumbledore paused lookong around the room. "First, I'm pleased to welcome Professor R.J. Lupin... who's kindly consented to fill the post... of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher." He looked back twords my dad who was now standing giving a small bow. I clapped my hands loudly and cheered. "Good luck, professor."

Dumbledore continued speaking about things to look forward to over the year as I started tuning into the the conversations around me.

"Of course. That's why he knew to give you the chocolate, Harry." I heard Hermione speak to Harry."

"My dad has been waiting for the moment to put his skills to use here." I commented. "You'll really love having him as a teacher Granger." I smiled.

"Wait. Youre professor Lupins daughter?! How did we not know this." She asked shocked.

"Well no ones ever asked about my parents, and I carry my mums last name." I shrugged turning back to dumbledores speech.

"You feeling okay Serephina?" George asked looking over at me. "You seemed really tired on the train."

"Im just fine Georgie boy. I guess I was just a little tired is all. He smirked and leaned in closer.

"You looked awfully cozy with Freddie there." He wiggled his eyebrows. I scoffed but felt my face burn red.

"Shove off George, if you know whats good for you." I glared back at him, and all I received was pinch to my cheek. I shoved his shoulder before I went back to listening to the warnings and changes wed face this year.

"Finally, on a more disquieting note... at the request of the Ministry of Magic... Hogwarts will, until further notice, play host to the dementors of Azkaban... until such a time as Sirius Black is captured." I shivered at the news, even though I had already been expecting something like this. I just hoped they wouldn't be so close to home. I felt a hand on my knee squeezing softly, when I looked up I saw Fred nod at me with reassurance as Dumbledore continued.

"The dementors will be stationed at every entrance to the grounds. Now whilst I've been assured... that their presence will not disrupt our day-to-day activities... a word of caution. Dementors are vicious creatures.

They'll not distinguish... between the one they hunt and the one who gets in their way. Therefore, I must warn each and every one of you... to give them no reason to harm you. It is not in the nature of a dementor to be forgiving.

But you know, happiness can be found...even in the darkest of times...if one only remembers to turn on the light." Dumbledore finished his rambling and we all dug into the food around us. I talked with everyone and the twins filled me in on their trip to Egypt, which had me jealous.

"You know you could have gone with us, mum and Ginny would have loved having another lady around." George laughed as we to our common room. As soon as the fat lady let us in I almost literally threw myself down on one of the couches as George dropped to the floor in front of me. "Lets all play a game! No need to turn in already."

"Geroge no one wants to play a game. Lets just relax before things get crazy. Bloody hell I mean my first class is with Snape. What about you Freddie?" I ask as I go to sit back up only to notice theres no Fred in sight. Though I didn't need to wonder long before I noticed him already chatting with Angelina across the room. I sighed and turned to face the fire.
