There was a loud clattering noise and a row of whispered profanities.

Harry opened his eyes and he wished he hadn’t as a really sharp pain ran across his entire forehead and then the top of his head as if someone had stabbed him.
He groaned, slowly rolling onto his back, careful not to irritate the contents of his stomach. The room was too light for his liking.

“I’m so sorry. Did I wake you? I tripped over Zayn’s spray painting stuff.” Louis said, rushing to the bed and hovering over Harry’s face.

“Please don’t shout.”

Louis laughed in whispers. “You alright?“

“No.” Harry covered his face with his hands and rubbed his fingers across his eyes.

“Need anything?“

“I’m parched.” There was a small smile playing on Harry’s lips under the hands.

“I’ve got some water and painkillers for you on the nightstand.”

“My hero,” Harry shuffled higher and rested his back against the headboard. He grabbed the bottle and pills and emptied the entire water bottle in seconds, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.

“Thank you.” Harry looked at Louis for a moment.

“So,” Louis said with a grin.

“When Liam suggests you do tequila shots, you run the other direction instead of blindly shooting down ten shots in a row.”

Louis’ mouth fell open. “I thought you just had a couple of beers.”

Harry snorted, but it was quickly followed with a brief cringe. The sudden onset sensation of pain sent vibrations through his head.

“And I called you a lightweight,” Louis smiled softly, sitting on the edge of the bed carefully.

“Did you get any sleep? Sorry if I snored.”

“I slept just fine,” Louis replied with a smile. Either he was being really polite or he’d slept on Zayn’s bed secretly. “Do you want breakfast?“

“It’s too soon. I’d like to decapitate myself rather than do anything today,” Harry said, rolling his eyes and another wave of regret washed over him as the pain reminded him of why he should just stay motionless for the rest of the day.

“We could just watch Netflix until you feel better?”

“You… don’t want me to leave you alone? I’m sure I’ve overstayed my welcome at this point.”

“No, I haven’t got plans for today,” Louis said with a shrug, pulling on a loose thread on his sweatpants.

Harry looked at Louis, stunned. “Uh, do you mind if I just go and get changed first?”

“Sure, I’ll wait for you,” Louis said with a smile. “Take your time.”

Harry nodded, gathering his phone and keys from the nightstand and throwing the parka over his arm.

Harry tried to stay calm and take it easy, but he didn’t want to waste any precious time.

Harry took the fastest shower know to man and rushed back to his room. The painkiller was finally easing his throbbing skull. He was relieved to be feeling more human again.

Frantically, he pulled on a pair of joggers, a band t-shirt and a hoody. Harry dashed back out again, quickly gathering his phone, keys and a wallet just in case.
