Keith POV

"Okay, everyone! Take a seat at any table." Mr. Coran instructed.

Before I got up, I felt Lance pull me by my arm and led me to the table we were at before. I was about to take a seat, but Lance pulled me onto his lap. I blushed, and it didn't help that he hugged my waist.

The girl from earlier took a seat across from us and told us her name was Pidge, but she would smirk whenever we made eye contact.

Shortly after everyone took a seat, Mr. Coran passed out many supplies such as paper, glue, safety scissors, colors, pencils, beads, and a lot more.

I got up from Lance's lap so I could work on my art project. I decided I would draw space.

"I'm going to make you Keith!" Lance said. The Cuban didn't look up at me when he said that.

"I'm going to draw a new robot design." Pidge joined.

I didn't bother to say what I was going to draw.

Another boy walked over. He was darker than Lance and took a seat as far away from me as possible.

"Hey, Hunk!" Lance exclaimed.

"H-hi." Hunk stuttered.

My ears lowered a little but still not touching my head.

"You guys should pet Keith. He's, like, really soft and he is just like a kitten! Cute and cuddly!" The Cuban stated.

Pidge and Hunk looked at me. I looked down to hide the blush the spread across my face.

"Nah, he probably just wants you to pet him, Lance." Pidge teased.

My face grew hotter. I shrugged it off and continued drawing.

Everyone started talking while I happily listened.

I then heard a few girls start talking.

"What even is that?"

"I don't know, probably a werewolf or something."

"It looks freaky, like no pupils or anything!"

"Yeah, he is really ugly and scary."

"I bet he eats people."

The girls started giggling. My ears lowered, and my heart sank. I tried my best to ignore it, but I could still hear them—stupid ears.

"Hey Keith, buddy, is everything alright?" Lance asked.

"Yeah, why?" I asked, trying to act oblivious.

"Your tail is squeezing my leg," Lance said.

I look down, and my tail was coiled around his leg three times. I quickly move my tail in the opposite direction from the blue-eyed Cuban.

"S-sorry..." I stuttered. Lance probably hates me now.

"No, it's okay, you don't need to apologize," Lance said as he lightly punched Keith's shoulder.

They both chuckled.

"I can't believe Lonce is talking to that freak." One of the girls said. The others giggled.

The bell rang again, signaling for the kids to go to recess.

Third POV

All the kindergarten classes went outside. Keith sat by himself to eat his Kiwis. He told Lance he would play with him Pidge and Hunk when he was finished.

A group of girls approached the young Galra. One of them that appeared to be the leader stood with her hands on her hips. She was tan, much like Lance, but she had white hair instead of brown.

"Stay away from Lonce, freak!" The white-haired girl said. She had a British accent for some odd reason.

Keith's ears lowered, and tears were welling up in his eyes. He decided to stay silent so he wouldn't make the situation worse.

"Good, I'm glad we agree." The white-haired girl's face instantly relaxed, and smiled at him. She flipped her hair and walked away with two other girls following her.

I'm not hungry anymore. I just want to home. Keith thought to himself.

After School

Keith POV

Everyone had to wait for our parents to come to pick us up. Lance walked up to me with something hiding behind his back.

"Wacha' got?" I asked.

"I made you something," Lance said with a shy smile.

He revealed a red friendship bracelet, and several beads formed to make its say "Voltron."

"At recess, we decided to call our friendly group Voltron, and everyone got their own color. See, mine is blue, Pidge's is green, and Hunk's is yellow!" Lance exclaimed.

I put the bracelet on and felt my face heat up as I smile.

"Thank you, Lance," I said.

"No, Thank you," Lance responded.

"Keith, your father is here to pick you up!" Mr. Coran yelled.

"Bye, Lance," I exclaimed as I ran out and grab my stuff.

I ran out and see my daddy waving at me by the car. I happily jumped in the back seat.

"How was your day? Did you make any friends?" Dad asked.

"Well, the people were kinda mean and mostly stared at me. But Lance, Pidge, and Hunk were nice to me, and they made bracelets for our friend group." Keith showed his wrist where the bracelet was kept on.

"I told myself I wasn't going to cry." Dad sniffled.

"Whatever." Keith sounded annoyed, but he had a big smile for the rest of the day that nothing wipe it away.
