"Lev! Get back here to practice your serves!" Yaku yelled as he ran around the gym chasing Lev. Kuroo watched them as he drank some water. The Azumane siblings were close by and talking in low voices.

Curious, Kuroo shifted closer to them. I am not nosy, I'm just curious...

"You're meeting a lot of people in the
camp," Asahi commented.

Y/N tipped her head. "Yeah? What about it?"

Asahi shrugged. "Dunno... I'm just scared that it'll remind you of... You know... Him."

"Oh..."

Kuroo paused at his action of drinking water. Him? Who's him?

Y/N continued wiping her sweat off with a towel. "This camp is different from the one back then. I was a player. Now I'm an assistant manager."

Asahi gave a small sigh of relief. "He's not affecting you again. That's good."

"I guess..." She mumbled. She paused for a little while before saying, "If you all make it to nationals, there's a chance I'll see him again, right?"

Asahi gave her a weak smile. "Maybe."

She sighed and put down her towel. "I'll practice some blocks with Sugawara." She walked off. Asahi watched her, a pained expression in his eyes.

Kuroo remained in the same spot. Who's "him"? And how was he related to Y/N?

"Soooo, there's a 'he' in her life once? Is that what you're saying?" Bokuto asked.

Both Kuroo and Bokuto were outside, just behind the gym, where Kuroo told Bokuto everything he heard from the Azumane siblings' conversation.

"Yeah," Kuroo said.

Bokuto scrunched up his nose in thought. "And it affected her in some way?"

"Yeah." It's the first time Bokuto actually caught on about something other than volleyball and Akaashi.

"Whoa... Her past is kinda deep," Bokuto commented.

"Is that the point right now?" Kuroo grunted in annoyance.

"Well no, but why tell me this?"

"Because it probably increased the difficulty of making her fall in love with me?" Kuroo asked sarcastically.

"OH!" Bokuto finally realised the reason. Kuroo rolled his eyes. "So what are you gonna do about it? From what you explained to me, it seems like her past is kinda traumatic and she's unable to get over it yet."

Kuroo refrained from rolling his eyes again. "Search me. I was gonna ask you! What do you do when Akaashi gets... I dunno, sad or something?"

Bokuto thought for a moment. "Give him cuddles."

Kuroo gave a loud sigh. "You're no help."

"HEY!"

Shirofuku poked her head out of the door leading to the back of the gym. "There you two are! Come back inside! Your coaches need your presence!"

"This conversation is far from over," Kuroo murmured to Bokuto before jogging back to the gym.
