How oblivious can you be? {Kaz}

"Skylar, can you do me a favor and go let Maddie know that mom wants to speak to her on the phone?" Oliver asked Skylar as she and Bree conversed over whether they'd have dates to the prom, or go together with Maddie.

She looked over at him. "I don't understand why you don't do it."

"I'm trying to beat Kaz in this game." Oliver replied.

Skylar rolled her eyes, but got up and walked to Maddie's room Anyways.

She started to go in, but realized there was a rock in her boot. So she sat down outside the door, and unintentionally listened in on Maddie's conversation with her friend Alma.

"What do you think I should do, Alma?" Maddie asked.

Skylar had no clue what she was talking about, but didn't really care either.

"I think you should go for it." Alma said honestly.

"If I even got as far as telling Kaz, it wouldn't be soon before Oliver found out." Maddie sighed. "You know how he is when I like his friends."

Skylar's eyes went wide. Maddie had a crush on Kaz? It sure wasn't obvious!

Maddie almost never had crushes, it was like pulling teeth to get her to at least tolerate whoever liked her, and she always avoided dates due to her last relationship.

"You're getting older now." Alma told Maddie. "I'm sure he'll understand."

"I'm the baby twin." Maddie complained. "Plus, I'm a girl." She reminded Alma. "Everyone is protective over girls."

"Just find a way to make sure the news doesn't go anywhere past Kaz." Alma said. "Don't even tell the girls."

"Thanks." Oliver told Skylar as she came back from the hallway.

"For?" Skylar asked.

"Telling Maddie that mom wants to talk."

"Oh, yeah." Skylar replied. "No problem."

Skylar got onto her cellphone and texted Maddie, and then put her phone back in her pocket and sat there in shock.

"What's wrong?" Bree asked Skylar.

"Nothing." Skylar replied.

No, Skylar wasn't crushing on Maddie. But Skylar was just shocked.

Skylar and Maddie had been close friends for as long as they could remember. And for Maddie to tell Alma over her, kind of hurt.

"Alright, Sky." Bree replied, not believing the words coming from Skylar's mouth.

Something was going on, and Bree planned to figure it out.

"What's up with you lately?" Bree asked Skylar as the both of them walked into the kitchen.

"What do you mean?" Skylar asked, pouring herself a cup of orange juice.

"Ever since Oliver sent you to Maddie's room the other day, you've been staring in shock." Bree pointed out. "What happened in there?"

"Nothing much." Skylar shrugged.

"Skylar." Bree rolled her eyes. "Did you guys kiss or something?"

"No way." Skylar said nonchalantly. "Nothing happened."

"You're lying." Bree replied.

"No I'm not." Skylar said before taking some sips of orange juice.
