1. The first battle of many

The battle was reaching its climax all ten heroes surrounding the drill that if Ultron got one hand on the city would drop, destroying life as we know it. Clint and his son Luke firing arrows across the battered church, Stark, Thor and Vision blasting down drones getting Thor being a bit more explosive about it overcharging their power cells way past critical causing them to explode, Steve and Natasha throwing punches into the drones sometimes hard enough knocking the heads off sometimes throwing Steve's shield between each other, Hulk being Hulk crushing and smashing as he's known to, Pietro, one of the new team members was racing around the perimeter of the church using his extremely high speeds punching, smacking and throwing drones into each other and finally Wanda the other new member Pietro's younger sister by twelve minutes using her telekinetic powers to form a shield around the drill and Luke due to his precognitive powers having no trigger so he could get a vision at any time and would be stood without being able to sense what was happening now over the future.The oncoming swarm of Ultron drones was starting to die down thanks to everyone, probably mostly because of Pietro's speed, the Avenger came to the agreement that someone should stay and guard the drill."I'll do it," Wanda said in her Sokovian accent which Luke was in love with "You'll want back up, so I'm staying with you" Luke responded firing an arrow behind Wanda and at the same time she launched a telekinetic blast a split second after the arrow struck the neck area of the drone"Fine" she snarked at him"I'm staying to" Pietro stated"No, you get everyone out and don't come back for us until everyone else is off this flying, sky-high rock and not a moment before, understand" Wanda commanded towards her brother"you know, I'm twelve minutes older than you" he responded trying to get his sister to change her mind, yet knowing she wouldn't. He'd seen the way she looked at Luke, the same way their mum looked at their dad. He knew Luke was good for his sister, that he made her smile again made her whole. He just wished they could introduce Luke to their parents as he knew they'd love him. After about ten minutes, Luke had a vision. Wanda knew this as his normally brown eyes were now green, like an old-fashioned matrix-like green. his vision showed the location of the last Ultron, the prime, weak and damaged locked out of the internet to prevent him escaping again, as the vision ended, Wanda warded the church and the drill to prevent more getting in to trigger the drill which would drop the flying rock, they left and snuck threw street to the final one arguably the most dangerous yet due to Hulk launching him out the back of the Quinjet and crashing threw the side of a bus."Wanda, Luke please" Ultron muttered before Wanda ripped out his motherboard which he shaped like a human heart."Pietro, we're near the ice cream shop beside a smashed bus behind the church come get us, Stark you better destroy this rock before it's too late" Luke spoke into his earpiece holding Wanda tight so Pietro would be able to get you to the Helicarriers civilian rescue ships faster if you were closer together otherwise he'd take longer by a second, which Ultron could've had on miserly drone re-activate and activate the drill in that one wasted second.As the last civilians got onto the rescue ships and Pietro raced Luke, Wanda and Himself onto the ship it departed the island which Stark and Thor had formulated a plan to destroy the island which kept getting higher and higher. Wanda buried her head into Luke's shoulder crying tears of sadness and pain, both the boys knew that's what they were as the team had to destroy their home, Luke held Wanda protectively just like Pietro did at the tower earlier before heading out to save the world. After about five minutes the boys looked out to see the giant rock get vaporized, it wasn't a single minute later when Stark and Thor landed on the Helicarrier and walked to a new Quinjet alongside Clint, Nat, Steve and Vision."Should I carry her to it or do you want to?" Luke questioned Pietro"You do it, I've seen how she looks at you like a lost little puppy" he responded causing Luke to blush a little. So he picked up the woman who he now knew had a crush on him and walked beside Pietro towards the jet which took off moments after they stepped in. Nobody spoke on the way back to Avengers tower out of respect of everyone in Sokovia who died during the battle and those who were seriously injured.Once they landed each Avenger went to their own room, Luke and Clint lead Wanda and Pietro to their rooms which were set up while out in the field. When Wanda found out that her room was directly next door to Luke she almost started jumping up and down in excitement. However, Pietro wasn't quite as happy as his room was directly next to Tony's which was obviously opposite the lab.Each Avenger went to their own happy place: Nat and Steve to the gym, Tony and Vision to the lab, Thor to the roof, Clint and Pietro to the kitchen and Luke to the archery range, Wanda went to the upper level of the archery range to watch as Annabeth fired arrow after arrow after arrow at a range of stationery, moving, big and small targets constantly landing them in the yellow"you're rather good at that" Wanda stated after Luke fired his fortieth arrow of the session. "I like to think so, do you want me to show you how to do it?" he responded jokingly, not expecting her to answer how she did "sure how about tomorrow, as it's getting late and we'll have a post-mission meeting tomorrow as well' she replied"cool, here at twelve. have a good night red" Luke commented giving the girl a nice nickname that only they would know. "sure green" she flirted back. obviously choosing green due to his eyes when using his powers, despite having no control over it.They both walked to their rooms together and split apart wishing each other a good night and mentally preparing for the next day. In which the team would have its meeting, Luke would teach Wanda how to fire a bow and Wanda would try to get closer to Luke while doing so.
