I want to say this right now. I am not a service dog trainer, nor do I own a service dog, I understand service dogs are very different from animals and I have very rare encounters with them. But if you see anything I missed or got incorrect, critique me, teach me so I can become a better writer, thanks. That's gonna be why this ones so short, I'm sorry.
You had been oficially done with training as a service dog. It took practically two years but you were finnaly on top. Your sat in the kennel, laying on the mat that was supplied to you. You listened closely as you heard some steps approach you. A man kneeled down before you, some form of curiosity sparked in you but that quickly faded as he pulled out your work vest. A simple red vest with the words 'Service dog' and below that, 'do not pet'. Your cage was opened and you walked out, standing next to your owner. He had to hassle with you to get the vest on properly before he had taken out a leash. He had you all ready to go before he walked out of the front doors, all with you in hand happily doing your job.
It was simple for today, only a few issues but nothing too bad that you could'nt handle. But when it came time for bed, your instinct was going off, something was wrong. Your handlers breathing was ragged, and sharp. He looked lost, disoriented. You licked at his hand and pawed at it, trying to get his attention on you so you could help him. He jolted but reached a shaky hand to your soft head. You positioned your head as best as you could to splay on his lap. He seemed to slow his breathing and at least attempt to. You continued to just try to comfort him like you were trained to. He seemed to come back down to Earth.
You waited for any task you would have to perform, but he just called you over to his lap and layed back down again, stroking your soft fur, but hey, liek you would complain to any rubs?
Once again, so sorry if there is anything inaccurate please tell me what some tasks could be performed, I have said this once and I'll say it again, I do not own a service dog, and I have rarely interacted with one (don't interact with service dogs, they are just trying to do their job) unless you are the handler or a family member of the handler and have consent from said handler. With that in mind, can anyone give me suggestions for where these stories can go? I will be glad to reply with anything, and I will take any APPROPRIATE ideas, thanks so much, and pls don't take the last Oreo when I claimed it and you took it from me, thanks so much. SHANE!
