Lilith caught up to Tom, following him from a distance.

He went into the library and he quickly turned around to see if anyone was following him. Lilith got behind a pillar so he couldn't see her.

Luckily, Tom didn't see her. He got to a section of the library and took out his wand, mumbling a spell that made the library less dark.

He went into the restricted section and scanned the shelves while Lilith leaned against the wall beside him.

Tom caught a glimpse of cold gray eyes and raised his wand straight at Lilith's face.

Lilith looked at the wand pointed at her throat and looked up at Tom who was furious.

"I don't consider that a proper hello, Riddle." Lilith said as the wand pressed on her throat.

"What are you doing here?" Tom said sternly. This entertained Lilith even more.

"I could ask you the same thing." Lilith tested Riddle. He winced at her in confusion.

"I'm headboy which means I'm allowed to roam the corridors with authority." Tom said with a cold tone that made even Lilith shudder.

"Ah, I see. I'm not going to tell anyone." Lilith said.

"Charming but I don't trust you. Besides, there's nothing to tell." Tom said, lowering his wand.

"Then, what are you doing in the restricted section late at night." Lilith said, slowly pulling out her wand that she just got back.

"That's my business." Tom clenched his jaw and scanned Lilith.

"It's now mine as well since I'm a bystander to your dark magic." Lilith joked but Tom turned very serious and his eyes were almost red.

"I'm messing with you." Lilith said quickly before Tom lashed out.

Tom let out a silent exhale and returned a fake charming look at her like he did with all of the other girls that made them swoon.

"Are you going to tell me what you're doing?" Lilith asked as she scanned the library.

"I told you no. If you don't mind, I would like to be alone." Tom put a sharp emphasis on the last word.

Lilith backed away.

This was going to be harder than she thought.

Lilith saw book out of the corner of her eye and grabbed it.

Defense Against the Dark Arts: What they don't tell you.

"I was getting a book anyways." Lilith said, holding the book loosely in her hand.

Tom looked deeply distressed at her foolish behavior.

Lilith turned around and started to walk towards the exit but stopped in her tracks.

"Tom Riddle. Everything I've heard seemed like an exaggeration but I see now that it's true. You're a real charmer to the wrong people." Lilith said as Tom looked like stone. He wasn't phased, he was amused. However, the furrow of his eyebrow when she said his name said otherwise.

Lilith left the library with two things that made Tom Riddle vulnerable.

His name and his reputation.

"Lilith! Over here!" A voice said in the courtyard.

Lilith was walking through the outside corridors and saw Caspian and the rest of the group sitting on the benches in the courtyard.

Lilith smiled and walked over to them.

Tom Riddle sat at a table with Abraxas and his friends who seemed more like followers. Both Tom and Abraxas were watching Lilith but in different ways.

Abraxas Malfoy was admiring Lilith. No one else looked like her. Her radiance and energy was powerful and that sparked his attention. Her beautiful appearance was just the cherry on top.

Tom Riddle looked at Lilith as if he was trying to solve her like a puzzle. He watched as she smiled at her friends and walked over to them, her hair blowing graciously in the wind. He wasn't looking at Lilith like Abraxas looked at her. He was looking at her like she was a competition.

"So, how was the first night at Hogwarts? Does it compare to Beauxbatons?" Catherine, the red headed girl in the group, said.

"It was fascinating. I slept well." Lilith said, peeking at the corner of her eye to see Tom and Abraxas staring intensely at her from across the courtyard.

"There's a party in the Room of Requirements exclusively for seventh years later tonight if you want to come. Theo's hosting the party." Gatsby said as he produced a summoning spell to get an apple.

"I think I'll pass." Lilith said with a grin.

"Come on. It's one party. Loosen up and have a little fun." Theo said, stretching his arms and knowingly flexing his biceps at the girls who were gawking at him from afar.

Lilith looked over at the table where Abraxas and Tom were sitting and looked back at her friends.

"Why not?" Lilith gave in as Catherine threw her arms around her and embraced her.

"Have you noticed that both Tom Riddle and Abraxas Malfoy are staring at you? It's very impolite." Caspian said as he ran his fingers through his fluffy blonde, almost white, hair.

The whole group looked at the table where Tom was, discreetly. Abraxas had noticed that they noticed him staring so he turned around but Tom's eyes were still fixated on Lilith.

"I'm sure it's nothing. I've got to get to class." Lilith said, picking up her bag and walking into the castle to go to Potions.

Tom had finally taken his eyes off of her and shot a deadly look at Abraxas who was talking about how beautiful Lilith was freely.

"Is there something wrong mate?" Abraxas asked Tom but he realized that he had pushed the limit by calling Tom 'mate'.

"If you think Lilith is so fascinating and beautiful, then go ahead and talk to her instead of staring at her constantly. Face rejection instead of avoiding it, Malfoy. She'll leave you vulnerable for her." Tom shot at Malfoy who had turned serious.

"We have Potions now. Let's go." Tom demanded the group as they headed to their N.E.W.T's Potions class with Lilith.

Tom Riddle's blank expression turned into a grimace when he saw Lilith walking ahead of them.

Tom broke off from the group and walked alone, trailing behind Lilith secretly.

Just as he was about to catch up to Lilith and confront her, Caspian Lovegood had caught up to her and started talking to her.

Tom balled up his fists and clenched his jaw. His anger was unexplainable and it made him go mad. Lilith was a painting made by a sin and everyone saw her as a beautiful work.

Now, he saw Lilith as someone he needed to bring down.

She was now the next step of his plan.
