[1]: Lay down in a position you CANNOT move from. Moving back and forth will take your mind off shifting, and alert it that you're awake.
[2]: don't have annny distractions. It's so annoying to get close to your results only for someone to decided it's their time to shine and bother you. I suggest doing it at night while everyone in your household is asleep.
[3]: relax. Wait until it feels like your muscles fall into themselves, and like you're actually taking a breath of fresh air
[4]: Feel for any energy around you. Just try your best to feel for it, then pull it into yourself. Try to make it into one with yourself and you'll being to feel burning of tingles, if you really focused into feeling for them. Then amplify those tingles. I would personally amplify with saying "I am gonna shift" "I'm about to shift" or at least subconsciously realising that you're pulling energy into yourself.
