His Spark, Her Soul

Chapter 1

Millions and millions of light years away was a very fairly large planet, made of metal was home to the metal creatures known as Cybertronians. Before them came the Beast. It was peaceful until the First War broke out. The Beast War. This battle went on for a short of a decade. Soon Cybertronians walked the surface of the planet and peace came upon them again. There were many cities, small and large; the biggest of all was the City of Primes. There the data clerk Orion Pax and his brother Megatronus, who was famous for fighting and killing Beast in Kaon. Among them were their friends and family.

"Níki? Where are you?" I looked around, recognizing the voice and quickly hurried through the crowd; hiding next to another female, who looked kinda like Soundwave. I recognized her as Echo, she was such a sweetspark. She looked around more as she walked to her seat on one of the stadiums for the battle that was about to take place. "Psst, just ignore me." I whispered to her and she gave me a quick nod before looking forward. She shifted uncomfortably surrounded by Cybertronians on all sides of us. We sat right smack in the middle to get a whole view of the fight. She didn't care for the fight, and neither did I, but I was trying to skip class. She looked around, the loud crowd probably annoyed her audios and we almost missed the announcer introducing a giant beast, much bigger than anyone has ever seen here. We listened.
"TODAY WILL BE THE DAY OF TWO OF CYBERTRON'S GLADIATORS BATTLE TOGETHER TO DEFEAT THE GIANT BEEEAAAAAASSSSST!!!!" the announcer shouted through the microphone as a gate opened and out walked Megatronus and Soundwave together, Megatronus held up his servo and the crowd went crazy wild. Echo covered her audios from the loud sounds of cheering, whooping,  hollering and all the loud banging.
She hated it here, he was the only reason she came.
She looked down at the ring as the battle began. "Níki, there you are!" I jumped at the sound of my name and I quickly turned around to see my partner from class. He looked really annoyed to be chasing me around. I gave a small laugh and shrugged, "Sorry!" Then jumped over Echo and caught my foot on a seat in the next row and yelped out in fear as my face smashed into the chair and then again as my body tumbled further down. "Níki, get outta there!" Dazed, I glanced around and then up, "What...?"
"IT LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE A NEW CHALLENGER!!!" I heard the announcer shout and only then did it hit me that I had fallen into the ring. "Níki look out!" I heard my class partner yell and I sat up to see the giant beast running towards me. I rolled out of the way as quickly as I could to avoid being smashed against the giant wall that separated them crowd from the fight and stood; limping towards the opening as Megatronus and Soundwave ran towards the beast that followed me. I fell face first into the ground after the beast stomped to throw off my balance. I rolled to see both the gladiators smashed away from the beast and it jumped in the air straight towards me. I screamed and covered my optics, waiting for the swift death! I heard a yell and then an ear ringing clang that echoed through the entire ring, followed by absolute silence. I panted as I removed my arm from in front of my optics only to see my partner from class standing in front of me, panting just as heavily as I was. A wrench firmly in his servo as he glare at the beast that was sitting on the other side of the ring; energon leaking from the side of it's face.
It turned and looked back towards us and narrowed it's optics and opened it's mouth, letting out a loud roar as it charged at us. I let out another scream and rolled over, beginning to crawl away when something wrapped around my waist, "Hang on!" And I glanced up to see none other than my class partner, Ratchet, rushing away from the creature. He stopped once he got near the crowd and threw me with all of his strength up into the crowd before he jumped up to avoid being crushed between teeth, landing on top of the beast's head, bringing down his wrench as hard as possible; knocking out the creature!
"AND WE HAVE A WIIIINNER!!!"
The announcer screamed at the top of his voice box as the crowd went wild all around me. I panted, relaxing slowly against the seats, and glanced down at Ratchet, who was glaring daggers at me.

~medical bay~
"What the in the pit were you thinking!?" Ratchet blew up after the medics allowed him inside, determining that I was only suffering from minor injures. "It's not like I planned to jump in the ring." I snapped back and glared lightly, "I didn't ask you to follow me." "If I decided not to, you could have been killed!" He growled back, waving that cracked wrench around, "What were you doing at that fight anyway? You're supposed to be in class." I sighed and rolled my optics, "Class is boring, so I decided to skip." "Medical class is boring?" He asked me with a bit of an annoyed look and I huffed out "Yes, class is boring because I just have a hard time focusing, not everyone is as smart as you Ratchet." My voice softened slightly and I glared at the wall. Ratchet was the top of the class, being taught things that the rest of the class could only dream of. I struggled a lot in class because I have a very rough time focusing on work as my processor enjoys to wander off. I was much more interested in adventure but my build made that difficult. "So you have trouble in class?" Ratchet shifted his weight and uncrossed his arms, "I could tutor you." I looked at him and nearly laughed, "You, tutor me? Good luck with that. Have you seen my track record? All the other tutors and the teachers call me a lost cause." He scoffed in reply and shook his helm, "You're not a lost cause. I'll help you as long as you stick to your studies, don't go wandering off to illegal fights." He held out his servo to me and I took it, "Alright, deal."
