The famous welcome feast was magnificent, as always. Trays and bowls of food filled the long tables with eager hands reaching for them. Stella happily filled up her plate with various foods, finding every bite just as delicious as the last.
After the feast Dumbledore said a few last words and bid them goodnight. The house prefects starting calling to the first years, signalling to follow them. They led each group of children to their house common rooms.
The Ravenclaw Tower was located on the west side of the castle. There were many, many steps and by the end Stella was panting slightly along with her fellow Ravenclaws. She turned to her right and saw a girl with her hands on her knees as if she had just run a marathon.
"That's a lot of stairs" she said between big breaths.
Stella laughed and said "yeah, don't worry you get used to it after a while."
The girl turn and looked up at Stella, realisation settling on her features. "Oh you're Dumbledore's kid?" she said.
"Well yeah, he raised me but he's not my real dad." Stella replied.
The girl nodded and held out her hand. "I'm Rey, by the way"
Stella smiled, took her hand and shook it. "I'm Stella".
The two girls waited a little longer for their prefect to answer the riddle that would let them into their common room. The door suddenly swung open and Stella peered inside.
The room was round and wide with a very airy feel. Just like Dumbledore's living quarters, there were many large, almost ceiling to floor windows that showcased a breathtaking view.
The floor was a light marble, covered with a variety of blue coloured rugs. There was a roaring fireplace on one side of the room and in front of it were plenty of sofas and fancy chairs. Scattered around the room were blue floor cushions that looked particularly comfortable, if anything, more comfortable than the chairs. They matched the rugs in the same blue shade that tied the whole room together.
Stella looked up and gasped seeing that the ceiling was covered in stars, similar to the Great Hall, it was under an enchantment that displayed the millions of twinkling planets. They were scattered all over the ceiling, reaching even to the furthest corners of the room.
Stella knew she would love it here.

*. * ·Stella lay awake in her bed. It was covered with a silk blue duvet and multiple pillows. The head board swirled in a mix of cream and blue making beautiful patterns in the wood. It made her feel like a princess.
She was awake partly because she was so excited for the following day of lessons but also because she missed her old room. Yes, she had sleep in a different bedroom before but this was different. She couldn't hear the usual sounds of the tree outside her window rustling whenever a bird landed on its branches. Or the ticking of her small alarm clock that sat on her bedside table. Or the faint sounds of Albus's footsteps as he paced the living room.
She knew this was something that she would have to get used to, so she focused on the new sounds around her. She lay silently for a moment and closed her eyes. The sound of the wind swishing through the many trees below the tower and the faint sound of water lulled her into a deep sleep.

*. * ·The next morning she awoke to Rey shaking her gently on her shoulders.
"Hey, Stella" she said gently. "Come on! we've got to get up, breakfast is soon!"
Stella groaned and opened her eyes, while stretching her arms above her head. She nodded and sat up, pushing her duvet to the end of her bed.
She quickly got ready and joined Rey down in the common room.
"It looks so beautiful in the morning" she said while staring in awe at the room as the sunlight shafted through the many windows making patterns on the floor.
Rey laughed and said "It really does".
They both made their way down to the Great Hall. Upon arrival they looked around and realised how packed it had gotten already. Stella scanned the room, always looking out for the identical gingers.
As her eyes landed on the Gryffindor table she saw them sitting next to each other, the opposite seats empty. She pointed to them.
"Hey, you see those two gingers over there, they're my friends, how about we go and sit with them?" Stella said after tapping Rey on the shoulder with her other hand, to grab her attention.
"Sure, why not" Rey said as she shrugged.
The two headed over to the table and sat down unannounced in front of the twins. They both looked up in sync and bright smiles leaped to their faces after they registered who it was.
"Hey" Stella grinned back.
"Hey" They said in unison, George then turned to look at Rey " Hi, i'm Fred" he reached across the table to shake her hand.
Stella whacked his hand, before Rey could do anything, sending George a glare. "That's George, they do that all the time. Don't let them fool you." she said while still glaring at Fred and George's smiling faces.
Rey laughed finding the whole thing funny which pleased the twins very much. Stella rolled her eyes even though she was smiling too.
They were all eating as Professor Flitwick passed them and gave the their schedules as did Professor McGonagall to Fred and George.
"Hey what do you have first?" Stella asked everyone.
"I have potions" Rey said.
"Ooo Snape first period, unlucky. Percy has told us about him, even he thinks he's the worst teacher." George said.
"He can't be that bad, can he?" Rey said, now worrying about the upcoming potions lesson.
"Well look at that, I have Snape too. Guess we'll find out together." George said sending Rey a smile.
"What!? They split us up?" said Fred.
"Aww it's alright Freddie, i'm sure you can manage one lesson without me." he said. Fred rolled his eyes as George ruffled his hair.
"Well have Transfiguration first" Stella said.
George leaned across Fred and looked at his schedule. "Oh look, how perfect Freddie does too!" Stella smiled as she looked at Fred and he smiled back. Once Stella had gone back to eating her breakfast, George winked at Fred.
Fred once again rolled his eyes. After they had all finished eating, they parted ways and headed to their lessons. Stella sat down next to Fred once they had arrived in the classroom.
As the lesson started she gave a quick glance out of the window and sighed happily, her academic years at Hogwarts had now begun and there would be many more to come.
