Kagome can concentrate spiritual energy in the palms of her hands for defensive purposes.

Purification Abilities: 

Kagome can purify malevolent forces, such as demonic energies or miasma, by sending out pure spiritual power. Kikyō can perform a technique in which her enemy is touched directly and destroyed with spiritual power. Kikyō can cast away the average demon with a single blow, as seen when Kikyō, who was not even completely aware, quickly defeated Urasue. If she is in close range, she can even attack with spiritual power from her finger.  Kikyō can focus her spiritual power into energy shields or screens. Under a barrier, she creates areas that neither humans nor demons can break into. When a human makes a barrier, even an ascetic monk must concentrate hard, but in Kikyō's case, she can maintain a barrier in her sleep. 

Spiritual Immobilization: Kikyō is able to seal another's will, words and action with her spiritual power. When paralyzing someone, she could also make them invisible to everyone else but her. Kikyō sealed Kagome's movement by just touching her forehead lightly with her fingers.

             Hypnokinesis:

The ability to manipulate sleep patterns and, by extension, dreams. This can be used to induce instantaneous sleep on humans, or to induce perpetual insomnia (which in a few days can kill you). One with this ability can remove the need to sleep from humans, or make them dreadfully tired all the time. One can also cause the subject to sleep forever in a comatose-like state and can even determine how deep a sleep or how long a person or people has. This has been seen to be very powerful.

Darkness Generation: He can shoot solid bolts of darkness, and surround enemies into pitch black clouds of lightless space.

Darkness Shields: He can solidify shadows into virtually impenetrable shields.

Darkness Absorption and Dissipation: He can absorb and dissipate shadows.

Imperceptibility: He can use shadows to cover himself in darkness to become invisible.

Power Over the Undead:

Can reanimate skeletons, call forth endless waves of the dead to fight for him.

He generates an aura of intense cold.

Imperceptibility:
