my mind: *flashbacks to when i got retainers when i was 8 and only needed them for abt a year but we moved before the dentist could take them out so i ended up with retainers for 6 years and had several times where a piece of an apple or carrot got stuck in between them and pushed against my gums and caused hecka pain and i cried every time it happened and i only got them out about 3 years ago and am only just now remembering this*
