Chapter 1 ~A bad beginning~

Y/n rang up the emergency number in her phone.
"911 what is your emergency?" A young female called out from the other side.
"I-i...I need help..." Y/n started sobbing on the other line of the phone, causing the other female to worry.
"What help do you need ma'am?" She asked kindly and softly.
"Anything...I need someone to talk to for now...my parents are arguing..." Y/n's voice began to break and more sobs could be heard.
"I'll talk to you until you feel safe...how about that?" The young woman smiled to herself, wanting to talk to someone as well.
"I would...like that" a faint yell was heard, The woman immediately sent a police officer out there to investigate.
"Well, My name is Niki...what's your name?" Niki waited a few seconds before she got a response.
"Im..y-y/n...." Niki smiled and kept y/n company until the sirens of the police were heard.
"Listen Y/n i want you to hide in your room or in a bathroom...can you do that for me?" Y/n hummed in response.

Y/n got up from her hiding spot and slowly walked into her room making sure to not make a sound.
"Niki...are the police here to get me?" Y/n asked when she found her new hiding spot, it was a small cupboard inside her closet...she usually hid there when her parents argued.
"They are...I'll be waiting for you here at the station" Niki smiled and waited for another officer to talk to y/n. "Hello officer(insert name)....take her to the command center...where I am" The other officer hummed and hung the phone up.

Y/n got into the back of a cop car. She felt safe..but not safe enough. When y/n arrived at the command center, a young woman with blonde & brown hair stood at the entrance.
"Hello y/n!" She waved to y/n when she stepped out of the vehicle.
"Your Niki....right?" Y/n voice was low..and extremely soft. Niki nodded and grabbed y/n's arm.

TW!! Self harm!!

Y/n winced in pain as soon as Niki grabbed her arm. Niki took notice and dragged y/n to the bathroom. As soon as Niki knew it was just her and y/n, she grabbed y/n's arm and rolled up her sleeve, Reveling deep cuts on her arm. Niki pulled down her sleeve and pulled her close...closer than anyone has gotten.

Y/n smiled and headed out of the bathroom with Niki close behind. When Niki got back to her desk she pulled out her phone to text her friend about y/n, seeing if she could stay with him for a bit.

Niki put her phone down to look at Y/n. Y/n seemed to pass out across the room on a chair by the front door. Niki smiled and giggled to herself(Her giggles! 🥺🥺)she picked her phone back up and scrolled through Instagram for a while before she got another call.

"911 what is your emergency?" Niki handled the situation with the caller very soon. When she realized that it was almost midnight she decided to call her friend to make sure everything was alright.

Finally...Niki thought to herself.
