"Sangyeon-ah!" Hyemi yelled out. Sangyeon turned around with a smile and stopped walking in his track. She ran up to him and held her hand.

"You're looking cute today~" Sangyeon sang and pinched her cheek.

"Call me cute and I'll shoot you." She threatened and glared at him.

"With what?" Sangyeon laughed.

"My love." Hyemi replied with a smile.

"Your love?" Sangyeon asked.

"Yeah, my love. Like you said, we'll go out, then get married when we're older." Hyemi simply said with a smile plastered on her face. Sangyeon's smile faded. He thought, Do I really want to marry her?

"Hyemi-ah." Sangyeon called out. Hyemi hummed in response and looked at him. Her eyes were beautiful, her eyes sparkled no matter what situation, and it would make him smile. A small smile formed on his face.

"I.. I have to go abroad." Sangyeon lied.

"O-Oh..?" Hyemi stuttered. Her eyes stopped sparkling. She looked down. "That's fine!" She looked back up with a smile. "We can still be together. We can try long-distant relationships and-"

"I don't think I can handle that.." Sangyeon sighed.

"Oh then when you come back we can-"

"I don't want to." Sangyeon stated straightforwardly.

"O-Oh.." Hyemi tried her best to smile, but tears were filling her eyes. "T-that's.. that's fine-"

"It's not. I don't think I like you enough to be fully committed in a relationship Hyemi."

Hyemi felt her heart breaking bit by bit. Maybe that was when she decided she couldn't be nice anymore. After years she spent with him and waited for him, his answer continuously was a no.

"Can you promise me something?"

"What is it?" Sangyeon asked.

"When you come back, find me."

"Looks like you found me.." Hyemi painfully smiled. Her heart broke at the sight of him.

"What do you mean? Of course I found you." Sangyeon rolled his eyes.

"The promise," Hyemi paused, "You promised to find me when you come back."

Sangyeon froze in place. After hunting down countless of men and women, he found the one he was looking for.

"Y-You're not Mari." Sangyeon stuttered upon the sight of Hyemi.

"Mari means rebelliousness. My grandma gave me that nickname. She told me to use it around people I loved other than my mom because they will betray me." Hyemi sighed and wiped the remaining tears, "She was right. At first I thought she was crazy, but now I'm going against the boy I loved the most."

"Mari-"

"I'm Hyemi. Don't call me Mari. She's gone and you can't get her back Sangyeon." Hyemi cut him off coldly.

"Hyemi.. I've looked everywhere for you that's why I started this whole stealing hearts thing!" Sangyeon shouted.

"I'm sure you wanted me dead. Go ahead, shoot me." Hyemi said. Her dried tears stained her cheek and she sat still.

Sangyeon's arm shook, he couldn't steal his first love's heart.

"If you can't kill me then I'll steal your heart."

Sangyeon gulped down his saliva. Tears filled his eyes, "Don't make me do this Mari.."

"I'm not making you do anything." She raised a brow. Hyemi placed her hand on her chest, "Shoot me, right here. Make it hurt all over again Lee Sangyeon. Kill me like you left me that day to die alone in the cold." She buried herself deeper and deeper into Sangyeon's heart to control him.

"Hurt me and use me all over again." Hyemi weakly smiled. "Use me for your selfish greeds. Tell me you love me then throw me away."

Sangyeon shook even worst and tears ran down his face, "Mari I didn't want to hurt you!"

"But you did!" Hyemi yelled and hit her chest with tears clouding her eyes, "Do you know how much time it took for me to fucking heal?"

"Hyemi I didn't mean it-"

"You told me you didn't want to date me. I respect that. You told me you didn't want to marry me. I respect that. But what I don't respect is you deciding it's time to turn around and hurt me all over again."

"Steal my heart and sell it to somebody to play with. Let me hurt, just worst this time."

Sangyeon closed his eyes and fired a shot.
He slowly opened his eyes, she was gone. The only thing left was a small note. He picked it up and read it.

Dear Sangyeon,

Remember the day you left me? You saw me cry and pour my tears out. My heart hurted so badly, I even wanted to die. Life was pointless to me without you. I told myself to move on and it took me 5 years. To this day, I still think about you. Just ask Hyunjae.
