"Is there anything else you would like to declare?" My mother's voice buzzed over the video call conference.
I looked around as all the others remained stony-faced. Except Cutthroat but I hardly believe my mother would pay much mind to her.
"No, that is all." I completed the briefing, dodging all speculation about Cutthroat's slipup.
It had been a few days since that night, and we still had no idea where the blade could be. We had no leads either and were spending our days conducting heavy research on any and everything. Luckily, we weren't having any heat, which clearly meant The Heads still didn't know.
"The shipment for the weapons will arrive in a few hours. I am estimating it to be ready at approximately 2 a.m. There are will be three men present to smooth out the collection process. If by chance you girls want to add one of them to the mission then that is fine since you have no Shadows or Polys." My mother's words snapped me out of my thinking.
"We will swiftly collect it." I assured her over the screen.
Suddenly Pueblo's head jumped into frame.
"Emilia, could you give myself and the girls a second?" Pueblo asked.
My mother frowned and so did I. What did Pueblo want to talk to us about? Better yet, why couldn't he say what he wanted to in front of my mother?
Whispers were traded between them before my mother stood up, walked out the room and closed the door.
"What's happening?" Raine asked lowly to my right.
I shrugged in confusion.
Well that was odd.
"I'll make this quick." He spoke as he got seated.
"Another target is being added to the mission."
I coughed loudly choking on air, my eyes bulging from their sockets.
"Sorry, I didn't quite catch that. Did you say a second target?" I patted my chest lightly.
"Why, yes. We received intel that he will be in Italy to conduct business with the first target some time in the near future so I decided to add him as a target. The details on his visit are not finalized. There will be more information provided on that soon. It's a bit impromptu but I will be doubling the money on the mission so you ladies will be compensated handsomely."
I wasn't ready for one target how will I face two?
"Any questions about that before I continue?" Pueblo asked.
"Since you have no questions I will continue. The second target orchestrated two deaths in The Creed of Assassins in Australia. He has the Russian government putty in his hands. He is very much valuable to their economy by bringing in millions to fund nonprofit activities. However, he sells firearms and orders the killings of innocent bystanders."
"A philanthropic murderer you say?" Bleu hummed aloud.
"Why do we need to take him out? Shouldn't he be Australia's problem since he killed Australian assassins?" I queried.
"Correct but from experience it seems The Creed of Assassins can't handle him. He almost never leaves his country and nobody wanted to go to Russia to eliminate him since he has the people in his claws."
If no one wanted to go to Russia... wait a minute-
"He has the government in his pocket... if the government is involved isn't he off limits?" I asked worrying my knuckles.
If the government denied the hit then that could rouse issues between us and the public. We belonged to The Hierarchy first but the government played a huge role in what we did. They covered our tracks. They ensured that the eliminations we did were covered up.
