Spending Time Together

Lucy walked into the amusement park, looking around. She couldn't find him. " He said he would be here... " She pouts. 15 minutes later his face comes into view. " Heya Luce " He smiles at her. She crossed her arms and looks away. " Eh? What happened? " He asked. " You are late idiot " She said. " Only by a little bit. And that's just cause there was traffic " He said. " I'll forgive you just this once because I barely know you and can't tell if your lying or not " She said. " Cool. Anyways, let's go " He said grabbing her hand.

" Where? " She asked. " That " He said pointing to a large rollercoaster. It went upside down and sideways. People screaming. " Are you sure that's safe? " She asked. " Stop being such a scaredy cat. Anyways, How many people die from a roller coaster? " He asked. " Average 4 a year " She said. " Stop with all that nerdy crap. We're here to have fun let's go " He said dragging her on line. When they get on, Lucy is having a bit of trouble. " How do you use this? " She asked holding up the saftey belt. " Are you joking? " Natsu asked. She shakes her head

He sighed and clipped it and tightened it for her. " Haven't you ever  rode a rollercoaster before? " He asked. " No. I was always home and studying. I never had time for stuff like this " She said. " You poor girl. Don't worry. Just because of that I'm gonna show you a real good time " He winked, making her slightly blush. The ride operator came and pulled down the metal bar to make sure their secure. It started moving slowly. " Once we get up to the top it'll start going really fast " He said. " Scary... " She said.

" It's fun " He chuckled. It slowly went up. The rails clicked as they moved. She holds his hand tightly. He looked over at her, before he let out a small laugh. Her eyes were shut right and she was shaking a little bit. " It's okay Luce. It's gonna be fine trust me. Your not gonna die " He said. She started muttering some stuff. " What're you whispering about over there? " He asked. " When you go upside down or sideways on a rollercoaster, inertia keeps you safe.. " She said louder. " What's that? " He asked.

" A force. Explained in physics as a property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force. " She says. " What does that even mean? " He asked. " It means, unless something changes the force of rollercoaster we won't fall. I'm sort of 'pep-talking' myself " She answered. " Man your such a nerd " He said. It finally gets to the top, and the zooms down the railings. Lucy along with some others started screaming.

" Ya scared Luce?! " Natsu asked. " What does it look like?! " She asked annoyed. He laughed in return.

~After~

" Never again... " Lucy said, panting loudly. Natsu cracked up. " It's not funny. I thought I was gonna die " She said. " Okay. How we go on a smaller ride? " He asked. " Like what? " She asked. " I dunno. You pick this time " He shrugged. She looked around. " That one! " She said, pointing to the carousel. " Yeah. Have fun. I'm not getting on that thing. Those horses give me the creeps " He slightly shudders. " I think their kinda cute " She smiled. " I think your kinda cute " He winked, wrapping his arm around her waist.

" Sh-shut up! " She blushed. " Yeah your right. 'Hot' is a better word " He said. She punched him in the gut. " And Hot headed too... " He added. " I am not! Now let's ride the carousel! " She said dragging him to the ride. " Whatever you say Luce " He shrugged. In the end they compromised and got on the sleigh instead of a horse. " This is so boring " Lucy groaned. " That's the carousel for ya! " Natsu shrugged. " I bet it would be more fun if we were on the horses. They're actually moving " She pouts. " No way " He said.

" Ooh! What's that? " Lucy asked pointing to a couple. One with blue cotton candy and the other with pink. " Are you really that sheltered nerd? That's cotton candy " He said. " Really?! I've never had that before! " She said. " What a shocker. " He rolled his eyes. " I wouldn't be surprised if you've never heard of Ice cream " He said. " What's that? " She asked. " Are you serious?! " He asked. " Just kidding " She giggles. " Right... " He sweat dropped. A few minutes later the carousel stopped. " Let's go get some cotton candy " She cheered.

" Whatever " He said. Lucy got yellow Natsu got blue. " It's so good " Lucy said happily. It was getting late. " What time you gotta be home Luce? " He asked. " Any time. " She shrugged. " Your parents don't want you home at a certain point? " He asked. " My mom doesn't really care. And as long as I get good grades my dad is okay with it. " She smiled. " Well how about we stay out all night then? " He asked, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. " No... I do want to go to sleep at some point tonight " She said

~Later~

They get into Natsu's car. Lucy saw a bottle of pills on the floor. She picks it up and looks at the label. " Antihistamine... " She reads out loud. " Oh. You get motion sick and take these pills huh? " She asked. " No " He snatches the bottle. " They're for my mom " He said. " It says 'Natsu Dragneel' on the bottle " She pointed out. " Sh-shut up " He said annoyed. She giggled.
