Chapter 4
Skylars pov
I arrived at the gang house and jumped out of the car. I stood there for a minute reminiscing on the memories that I had here. Ill never forget the first day I joined the gang.
I was 11 and my dad just died. My mom and her new boyfriend were abusive and I hated it. I was walking around town with a black eye and hand marks around my throat when I could feel someone watching me so I sped up and walked through the park. I couldn’t feel their eyes on me anymore so I stopped and sat on a bench. I was sitting there for 5 minutes catching my breath when a man came up and sat next to me.
“Hello little lady, my names Anthony. Let’s walk? What’s your name?” he asked me
I looked at him warily and figured if he kills me at least I wont have to go back home. “my names Skylar. Hi Anthony” I answered. He looked at me with a little glint in his eyes. “what are you doing out here all by yourself Skylar? And with bruises none the less?” I smiled sadly and looked down.
“well my daddy just died and my mommy and her new boyfriend hit me all the time. And they don’t care if im out they just don’t want to deal with me. So if you wana kill me that’s ok. Just make it quick ok?” he looked at me with sadness and anger but I could tell that he wasn’t angry at me.
“I do not want to kill you hunny. But ill tell you something. You’re a very special girl and I want you to join my family. You will have to go home every night…well not every night but most nights so your parents don’t call the cops on us but every day you can come to my house and spend time with my little family and we can teach you how to fight for yourself and we will always be there for you. How does that sound? And ill tell you more about how your special.” I looked at him in awe and nodded my head vigorously
“yes mister that would be good I like you your very nice for a vampire”
He nodded at first and then looked at me surprised “how did you know I am a vampire?” I looked at him like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“I don’t know cant everyone tell? Its just like I know that the group of little kids following us behind those trees over there, who might I add are getting very impatient waiting for you, are a little group of werewolves. I just know these things. I know im a witch but im not completely one I just don’t know what else I am so im going to need help with that one will you help me?” I said as we arrived at this amazing house. It was like a big castle. He chuckled and looked me in the eye “yes Skylar, you have my word that I will help you figure out what other blood runs through your veins” he promised
And that he did he helped me figure out I was part vampire and werewolf and helped me trigger each part of it. And for that I will forever owe him.
