"Asahi, do you have anyone to dance with for the prom?" Noya asked, both arms up while tossing the volleyball up in the air, eyes fixated on the ball and well-concentrated. He was able to stand in one place for the whole time and would walk around their side of the court while tossing the ball up without letting it fall once.
Asahi lightly jolted and had an audible gulp, not sure what to say to his kouhai but knowing him, Noya was serious about things like this, especially when he's that concentrated. But his friends wouldn't miss a chance to tease him up a bit. Why did he even remember about the dance when no one on the team was mentioning it?
"Oh dearest Noya, how can you forget about our Asahi's super shy ass? He can't even say hi to a girl." Sugawara sighed, dramatically fanning himself, and bit his lower lip as he was suppressing his laugh. Daichi was smirking at Sugawara and chimed in. "Well, Noya, I think Asahi needs a little boost. What do you say? He's got no one to dance with- OY! NISHINOYA! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?"
Upon hearing the words from Daichi- Asahi? No one to ask? But he's literally got every girls attention for being the ace of the team? What the fuck is wrong with Asahi?
"Seriously, Asaisa? Did you reject any girls?"
"Well- You see- uh... But Noya, we're supposed to practice for the Spring Nationals-"
"The fuck?! You rejected a girl?! And here I am being rejected by girls!"
"What's going on here?" Everyone turned their attention to the owner of the voice. Seems like it was from the entrance door- Ah, perfect timing. Kiyoko with their little Yachi behind her. And dumb-looking blushing Tanaka, holding Kiyoko's things.
"KIYOKO-SAN, CAN YOU BELIEVE ASAISA?! REJECTING GIRLS?"
"Well, Asahi gets bothered. That's a minus 5 points for him to heaven."
Everyone burst laughing at Kiyoko's comment but not Noya. Nope. Never. Damn it, why can't everyone see that Asahi deserve someone to dance with-
"Well, fine. Leave it to me! I'll get you a date for the prom!"
