I tightly embraced him from behind, he had been asleep for hours now. I can't seem to shrug this unusual feeling I had been having since this morning and it bothered me more now as my senses seemed too hyped up due to the deafening silence surrounding me. I am anxious for an anonymous reason. I would deeply inhale every now and then so I could take more of his scent. I wanted to wake him up but I know he had a long day and he deserved this rest.

My eyes opened. It's morning. I fell asleep. I looked at the arm that enveloped me, it's his. Then I felt his lips on my neck,

"Good morning, Baba."

His sultry morning voice never fails to make me blush.

I faced him and pecked his lips, "Good morning, Love."

I gave him the same embrace I gave him last night, a tight and longing one and he reciprocated. We stayed that way 'til I fell asleep again.

The second time I woke up he was no longer at my side. He must have left for work. I decided to come down and took my breakfast. I was scheduled for a photoshoot today and a meeting for my upcoming concert with Lea Salonga. Though this may sound an exciting day, I didn't really want to leave the house today. I just want to stay in my bed and wait for Ogie to come home, ask him for a date or ask him to take a week off from work and travel somewhere with me. How random, you might say, I don't know how to explain it but I felt like I've been wasting so much time working. We are not getting any younger and this supposed remaining years of our lives should be spent more on creating and collecting memories together. I'm really strange these days, haha.

"I'm off to work na, Baba. I hope you're doing well." I texted him as soon as I hopped on my van.

"Yes, Honey. I hope you are, too. Love you." He replied a minute after.

"Love you, too. Please keep safe."

"I will, Baba. I will come home early pala, Ba, would you like to have a dinner date tonight?"
My heart fluttered a little bit faster.

I've been wanting to ask him, nauna lang siya. I decided to call him, instead.

He answered within few rings, "Yes, Ba?"

"Dinner date tayo mamaya?" I inquired back.

"Ikaw, kung papayag ka." He softly answered.

I laughed, "Syempre naman noh! I'll wait for you then."

"Okay. Sa bahay nalang kita susunduin para makapagbihis ka pa. I'll pick you up around 7pm, Mahal."

"Okay, sige. Mag-ingat ka ha? I love you." I smiled as I spoke those words.

"Love you too, Mahal."

And he dropped the call just in time I'm in front of the studio.

I'm home and already preparing for our dinner date tonight. Nate had just left for an overnight with his groupmates to finish their final project. I can't believe I'll be having a senior highschool son soon. I just blinked and he's already a teenager. Sigh.

I'm almost done with my make-up when my phone suddenly beeped, I peeked and it's Ogie.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hon, I'm almost home. Are you ready?" I could softly hear the music playing on his background.

"Almost done with my make-up, but I'm good to go pagkatapos." I only heard him hummed, "Is that you singing in the background?"

"Ah?" His only respond.

"Ikaw ba yang kumakanta? Kaboses mo kasi pero di 'ko masyadong familiar yung song."

"Grabe ka, Honey! Narinig mo pa yun? Hinaan mo nga, Roger." He sounded a tad panicky.

"Bakit? Bagong kanta ba yun?"

"Lapit na ako, Hon. Prepare ka na. Bye." He hung up.

Roughly ten minutes later, I heard our dogs barking from downstairs, that must be him. I took a last look on myself in the mirror before grabbing my red Birkin bag and preceded downstairs. I, then, saw him waiting at the foot of the stairs wearing a midnight blue long sleeves tucked in his khaki slacks.

My love is looking sharp tonight. This must be very special.

I smiled as our eyes met which he gladly returned. Glad I decided to wear a dress instead of my usual tattered jeans and a shirt or else I have to change again.

"You look so beautiful, my love." He said as he received my hand.

I blushed and gave him a kiss on his cheek, "Ang gwapo mo kasi." I whispered in his ears.

He squinted his eyes and pursed his lips, "Mamaya, Baba. Humanda ka sa'kin."

I laughed and slapped his arm, "Tara na nga!" And guided me towards his car.
