Chapter 7.2 : Rose, Tulip, Gerbera, Letter

"On Monday Vale I was in the hospital, with my mom." my beginning. She moved herself and placed her head on my thighs while looking at me. I supported her head to lift a little and I took all her hair to drop to the side of my thigh.

"You must be wondering who is in the hospital. He is Sergio, the son of my mom's bestfriend, and also my ex-boyfriend." I watched Vale's reaction when I said that. His forehead was a little wrinkled, and you could tell she was wondering, and confused.

"Your ex-boyfriend Juls. Why?" she asked, as she looked at me.

"Yup, ex-boyfriend Vale. We've been on for three years, but we've been on breakup for almost three years." I watched Vale's reaction as I combed her hair with my hand, and she smiled a little when she found out we breakup long time ago "and the reason why he's in the hospital is that he just had an operation, but he's totally okay now." I paused for a seconds, looking at her reaction.

"So if you ask why we broke up, that's because of me." Continuing, Vale's eyes widened as I said I was to blame.

"Did you cheated on him?" she asked.

"Something like that. But listen first Vale. I want to be honest with you, so I'm telling you this now." Valentina just nodded.

"So that's it. Sergio's discharged day on Monday, and my Mom took care of him because aunt his mother was not here in the country. Sergio and I, we grew up together. He was with us in Texas, he live with us from junior high up to second year of college. And we treat each other like siblings, we took also the same course. But the time is so mysterious because he fell in love with me, I thought I loved him more than a brother, but years after I've found out that the loved that I felt for him was only like a brother, a sibling. Senior high, Sergio and I become we're officially boyfriend/girlfriend thing. During that time there was a woman who caught my attention she's a cheerleader in school, but I didn't know much about her so fast forward we become closed and became friends. I was just shocked when I found out that she's into girl, she confess it to me directly, but she didn't even said that she likes me. Yes, you heard it right Vale. She knew that I had a boyfriend at that time, and she also knew that I had a crush on her, there's nothing change between us, we remain the same, the friendship. It never occurred to me that she would fall in love with me. We had our senior prom and she comes with me, Sergio, and some with our common friends and classmates. While everyone enjoying dancing and chatting Rina came to me and she pulled me and she cornered me in a corner where no one would notice the two of us and no one neither will passed by. We talked about something what we would do after we graduated, then suddenly she kissed me, and yes I kissed her back. The kissed become intense when suddenly Sergio caught us. He looked at me then back to Rina, then he left us without any single word. I tried to follow Sergio but Rina stopped me. I didn't push anymore because she kissed me again, then things happen between us." I took a deep breath as I watched the reaction on Vale's face." I admit it Vale that I like what happened between us that night, she's my first in all." I confess to her.

"I'm not the only woman who likes you, there are others who are ahead of me. But Juls, did you love her? "Valentina asked me calmly.

"I don't know Vale if I loved Rina, all I know is that I had a crush on her, that I admired her beauty. And it never occurred to me that I would like or fall in love with my fellow gender, that I would be gay." my explanation. I tried to read her reaction but she asked me again.

"What happened Juls, after that night?" Vale asked curiously.

"After that night, I never heard from Rina again. I never saw her on school, she just disappeared like a bubble, no words, no goodbyes. And to Sergio I explained it to him and he accepted me like nothing have had happen we didn't broke up. But after a year, we decided to end our relationship. I broke up with Sergio, and he respected my decision. Sergio has been a good boyfriend, he respects me, and he'd been always a gentleman, until now. After we broke up, Sergio decided to come back here because of his father. Now we treat each others like siblings. When he came out of the hospital on Monday, he ask my mom to take me out just the two of us for some lunch, but accidentally we ended up at his house and I just cooked for us." I continue.
