Magical day

Chapter 1: The Truth.

Somewhere in Los Angeles, California live Destiny Monroe and her best friend Emma Novak. They both work at a clothes design company that is called VenTura. Destiny loves her work so much that sometimes she practically lives there! But one day changed everything.

Destiny's working on a dress when she hears a knock at her apartment door. "I'm coming!" She yells while walking to the door. Opening the door, Emma runs into the living room with hands full of shopping bags.

"Have you been shopping, again," Destiny asks slightly laughing,

"Maybe...," Emma says grinning.

"So, what did you buy? Did you buy anything for me, you know... I always wanted that really cute skirt," Destiny asked eagerly.

"Yes, I did buy you something but, I can't show it to you," Emma answered

"Why not?" Destiny asked with a frown on her face. Emma looked at her and grabbed something from one of the bags. Pulling out a card with a bunch of bright colors and opening it slowly. Inside was a quote and with big letters it said Happy Birthday! Destiny looked confused and then it hit her, tomorrow is her birthday.

"Oh, that's why you're all excited," Destiny said as she walked slowly to her working station "So did you start working on your clothes line? Because I'm almost done with this beauty," she said pointing to the dress.

Emma stared at the dress in awe," wow I've never seen anything like it. We are totally going to win that contest." Destiny looked at Emma with a disappointed look

"You didn't start working on your design did you?" Emma looked at her with puppy dog eyes pleading her not to get mad at her.

"It's ok, but you still have to get started some day or else we won't win the contest."

"Ok, I'll start right now but first. I have to make some coffee," said Emma.

"Can you make me a cup of hot cocoa instead of coffee?" Emma nodded and went into the kitchen. Five hours passed and Emma and Destiny have made only two dresses and one jacket. Looking at the time Destiny yawned and looked at Emma saying

"I'm going to go to sleep you can stay and work but, don't stay up all night."

Walking up early in the morning is not Destiny's favorite thing. But she still had to get up because she has work today. She got ready and went down the stairs and out of her apartment walking fast to her Honda. She drove by the speed limit she never went above the speed limit and that's why sometimes she came late to work. She parked in her parking spot, got out of her car and opened the door to the building with a smile on her face. She walked into her working spot and turned on the lights.

"Surprise!" all of her co-workers shouted. Everyone had a cone hat on their head and on her table was her birthday cake sitting waiting for all of them to dig in.

"Thank you guys so much, you guys almost gave me a heart attack! Let's celebrate!" said Destiny. Once everyone was full and there was have the cake left Emma came up to Destiny saying

"Hey Destiny I'll help you carry all your presents to your car can you show me where it is?"

"Sure" Destiny said walking to the window and pointing to her car "There is it, I just wish that I had a way more decent car like a Mazda," when she said that sparks flew through her finger and at the car. Destiny looked in shock at her old car; her car had turned into a brand new Mazda. But thankfully only Emma saw it and she had the same shocked face as Destiny.

"What just happened? I did not just see that," Emma asked looking at Destiny. Destiny was speechless and all she did was just look at the car.

"Grab the presents and I'll take the cake and let's go check it out" answered Destiny. They grabbed everything they needed and went to her car as fast as they could. Destiny unlocked her car and opened her back seat, put her things in and closed the door.

"Let's try something else! Ok, so you wished for something and you thought about it and then it appeared, let's try that," Emma said.

"Maybe, but I think we should go somewhere private..." Destiny answered "let's get into the car and I'll try it again." She unlocked the car again and both of them got in. Destiny thought for a second and then put her hand out and twirled her finger around pointing to her hand.

"I wish I had a smoothie right now," Destiny said as she closed her eyes. A gasp escaped her mouth. She was holding a strawberry banana smoothie. She looked at Emma, but Emma was just sitting there looking at her with a huge grin plastered on her face.

"Would it work if you didn't say your wish aloud and just thought of it?" Emma asked with a thoughtful look on her face. Destiny thought for a minute then shook her head.

"Why not, it's not like your head is gonna explode or anything," Emma said.

"Fine I'll try, but don't get your hopes up I doubt it will work and I'm pretty exhausted with all of this," Destiny said while pointing to the car and the smoothie back and forth. Destiny thought of her wish and closed her eyes whilst pointing to the cup and wishing for a caramel cooler. She felt a tingly feeling in her finger then opened her eyes and to her surprise there was a caramel cooler right in the palm of her hand.

"I... I need to go home," Destiny said starting the car while looking at Emma, pleading her to get out of the car.

"Oh ok, see you later," Emma said getting out of the car and walking straight into the building. Destiny started driving, she tried to forget what had happened but she just couldn't. Finally she got home and went into her apartment. She got into the elevator but she felt another presence with her. She looked around but didn't see anyone so she just shrugged it off and got out of the elevator. Opening the door to her dorm and putting the bag on the couch and walking into the kitchen putting the cake on the table. She went back into the living room and started opening her presents.

After she opened all of them she went into her room and just lay in her bed listening to the thoughts that filled her mind. How did that happened? Was that magic? I am so confused! Just then she heard a knock.

"That's probably Emma," she said to herself, but the knocking didn't stop. So, Destiny went to the door and opened it. Standing right there were her brothers Jax and Daniel.

"Hey guys! Come on in," Destiny said with a fake smile. Since her parents died, Jax nor Daniel came to visit her or even called to see how she's been doing. She led them into the kitchen.

"So what brought you guys here?" she asked looking at both of them suspiciously.

"We need to tell you something..."
