Angel slowly opened an eye as he heard an annoying, shrill voice of Niffty calling for him. "AAAAAngellll!" She trilled, knocking on his door. He groaned inwardly, saying back groggily, "Yeah!?"
"Time for breakfast! Charlie sent me to come and get you!"
"Okay! Tell her I'll be down in a minute!" Angel yelled back, hearing the excited patter of Niffty's feet running away from his door. He flopped out of bed, nearly stepping on his beloved Fat Nuggets, who was waiting at the bedside for his food.
"Oh! I'm so sorry, Nuggies.... Here, hold on baby!" Angel immediately dashed to get Fat Nuggets' food, dumping it in his bowl and hearing a happy squeak as his pet pig bumbled clumsily over to his food bowl to eat.
"Now...." Angel opened his closet, looking for something comfy before he had to head for work. Angel eventually found a light gray sweater with a darker grey collar and two light pink 'x's covering the chest, happily putting it on and throwing on a pair of his plain white booty shorts. He threw the whole outfit together with a gold necklace with a rose gold heart locket he put around his neck and white high-heeled ankle boots were quickly thrown on his feet.
He cleaned off the makeup that he had been too lazy to take off the night before with a makeup wipe, and put on a coat of mascara.
Feeling happy with his choice, he ran his fingers through his fringe, and walked out into the hotel. Angel was in a pretty good mood, but then he checked his phone. Valentino wanted him in today. 'Or else...' the menacing text wrote, making him shudder and walk a bit faster so he could get breakfast and get to the studio on time.
As he trotted down towards the elevator, humming a light tune quietly as he walked, Alastor came out of his room.
"Ah, good morning Angel! I assume this beautiful morning finds you well!" Angel looked over as Alastor approached.
"Yeah, yeah, mornin' Smiles. What's Charlie got us doing today?"
Alastor only shrugged, twirling his cane. "You think I know, my dear frie-" He paused for a second. "Acquaintance? Charlie is full of surprises. It's quite charming."
Angel rolled his eyes, and went on with his day. He finally arrived in the dining area, to find Husk, Charlie, and Niffty already sitting at the table. He sat across from Husk, and Alastor sat next to him. Angel leaned back in his chair as far as he could without it tipping, and threw Husk a flirty wink, who only grumbled and lifted a newspaper closer to his face. Whether or not to hide a blushing face, Angel smirked.
"Morning, Angel, Alastor! How are you two?" Charlie asked. Angel responded first, "Actually, I'm fine."
'For now....' Angel thought, making him cringe a bit at the morbid comment in his brain.
"I'm just great, Charlie, just great!" Alastor crooned. Angel glanced at his phone, finding a couple texts from Val saying he had to come in early. "Shit....." He muttered under his breath.
Husk's P.O.V
Husk prayed Angel hadn't noticed the slight blush on his face. He slowly put the newspaper down, noticing Angel's slight change of mannerisms. Instead of his usual smug flirty smirk, it was a slight frown with a hint of fear in his eyes as he stared down at his HellPhone.
"What's with you?" Husk asked in a nonchalant way, keeping his voice flat.
Angel raised an eyebrow, but forced a sweet smile. "Aww, that's cute Husky~" Angel purred in a sweet voice. "But it's really none of your concern."
Husk watched as Angel got up from the table, waving off Charlie as she started to say that they haven't had breakfast yet.
After a small while, Angel came back downstairs, dressed in his usual clothes that hugged his skin, and was walking out of the building. Husk didn't think much of it, but a small portion of him thought something was going on that Angel wouldn't admit.
