Every Slytherin has their Gryffindor enemy. And that applied to Regulus Black too, when he meets Eugenia Potter, a very clever Gryffindor, that despite being kind, brave and loyal, she also has a very peculiar mood.

Nabila and Eugenia where walking to class as always. They had Care of Magical Creatures and Regulus was there, which made Eugenia a bit moody as much as she loved the class. "I don't want to take class with that bloody snakes" she complained. "We don't have a choice" Nabila responded. "Besides, I'm starting to think is either a someone, not the house" Nabila guessed.
They arrived together. The professor was already there along with some Hufflepuffs, among them Elias and Daniel. "Hey!" greeted Daniel. "Hello boys" Nabila greeted back. "okay, gather around!" called professor Kettleburn. The class rounded the profesor. "Now, who can tell me what I have here?" asked the professor pointing at the animal that had come out. Eugenia raised her hand and the same time that Regulus did, both giving each other death glares. "Yes Mister Black?" Kettleburn gave the word. Eugenia bit her lip, apart for wanting to respond, it was always Regulus Black that got in her way.
"Can we touch her?" asked a Hufflepuff girl. "At the moment no, she's pregnant and she's sensitive, instead, we'll learn about their way of leaving, from the womb until death" explained the professor.
That evening, Eugenia went towards the grounds where the animals where kept. It was an extended place, the animals weren't restricted, it was put it the fresh air.
"Oh, Miss Potter, hello" greeted the limb missing professor. "Help professor" she greeted. "I wanted to see the pregnant Hippogriff" she explained. "I just kept on tho king about it, and i wanted to see her" she continued. "Oh, right this way" the professor guided her towards a separated area where green grass and flowers bloomed. "This is the 'nurcery', to say it like that" the professor explained. Eugenia smiled at true soon to be mother Hippogriff. She bowed to her, and surprisingly, she bowed back. "In you go then" sighted the preseason.
Eugenia smiled as she caressed the feathers of the Hippogriff. Kattleburn had brought her some fish to feed her, and the Hippogriff seemed to be enjoying them. "Hey professor?" called Eugenia. He turned to look at him expecting her question. "What's her name?" she asked. "Quill" he responded.
Kattleburn left the girl with Quill as she was rather calm. The female Hippogriff seemed to like the girl's company. She stroke her feather as Quill fell asleep, her head in her lap.
"You like care of magical creatures too, then" a voice came. Eugenia looked at the front, looking at the masculine form of Regulus Black. "Oh, Black, you came to ruin my happy moment" she said. The boy chuckled as he looked at her. She looked at the Hippogriff with such admiration as she stroke her feathers and the beast snored slightly. "How do you do it?" he asked. "Do what?" Eugenia asked looking confused. "Every beast we have worked with so far, how do you get them to trust you?" he asked.
Eugenia looked at him, she was thinking of the question. Why indeed? Eugenia didn't even know herself, it was just something that came with her. "Well... I haven't thought about it..." Eugenia responded.
Silence came again, the cold breeze blew as Autumn was leaving and Winter was arriving. Eugenia's brown hair blue with the wind as her green eyes looked at Quill sleeping. Regulus kept silent, observing her. He didn't know why he just observed her, he could do more interesting things that just look at the Potter girl.
"Admiring my beauty, I see" Eugenia said. "Beauty? I can't see why you think that" Regulus scoffed. "Well, your eyes haven't left my figure for a while now" she said not even looking at him. "Have you fallen for my charms?" she teased. "You wish Potter" he responded. "no, no, I think is the other way around, you wish" she said with a smirk. "You're just like your toerag of a brother" he muttered. "You know..." started Eugenia. "You can say whatever you want of me" she continued, and then her face turned darker. "But you better shut up about my friends and family, or you won't see the end of it" she finished giving him a cold stare. The blue and the green clashed in a battle of stares, Eugenia looked at the raven haired boy, until he finally gave in and directed his eyes towards the hippogriff, who seemed like was waking up.
Eugenia walked back towards the castle as the sun was setting. She felt odd as Regulus was following her. "You lost your pack or why are you following me like a baby duck?" she asked. "I don't think it has crossed your brain, but I too am going to the castle" he responded. "There are other ways in" she said. "This is the closest one to the Slytherin common room" he informed. "Whatever" Eugenia shrugged with an eye roll.
"You know this is the Dungeons way?" Regulus asked suddenly. Eugenia wanted to slap herself. How could she got distracted and followed Regulus? Of course, she wouldn't admit it.
"I'm going to professor Slughorn's" Eugenia lied. Regulus chuckled. "Yeah right" he said with sarcasm.
"Ah! Miss Potter!" called Slughorn. "ah shit..." she thought with a sight. "Glad you came here, I have something to tell, I discussed it with your head of house" he explained. "You stay too Mister Black" Slughorn said as Regulus was leaving. "You aren't doing so good in potions, Potter" he started. Regulus snored lowly. "Really? I didn't know" he murmured. Eugenia stamp his foot harshly. "Well, you'll have extra curricular classes" he explained. "And now that Mister Black is here, as your head of house, you'll tutor Miss Potter" he said.
"WHAT?!" both asked at the same time.
"Yes! It's a great idea since you both seemed to be close" he explained.
"CLOSE?!" they asked again at the same time.
"of course, you coordinate your thought too" he continued. "No no no, you got it all wrong! Regulus is just a copy-cat" Eugenia crossed her arms as she scoffed. "Well, it's settled then, Regulus is your tutor, you start tomorrow at 4pm" he said excited. Regulus sighted and Eugenia wanted to slap the professor.
Eugenia went up to her common room angry. "Hello little sis" James greeted. Eugenia just scoffed. "Bad mood?" asked Sirius. "You won't believe what Slughorn did!" she exclaimed desperate. The marauders turned to look at her. "He said I needed curricular classes, which is true cause I suck at potions, but that's not the point" she continued. "HE PAIRD ME WITH REGULUS FUCKING BLACK!" She exclaimed plopping into the couch. James snored, knowing her hate for the boy. "Oh god...." Sirius began. "Be careful with him Euge, he's dangerous" he explained. "He's your brother" squick Peter.
"He's not my brother" Sirius scoffed.
"When do you start?" asked Remus. "Tomorrow" she sighted.
