Christmas holidays came. Eugenia was at home helping her mother with some things as her dad was in his study and James was doing whatever. "How's school so far?" asked Euphemia. "Been good, have potions tutoring though" she responded. "I don't know why I chose the subject" she pouted. "Who's your tutor?" asked Euphemia. "This insufrible boy named Regulus Black" she rolled her eyes. "Sirius's brother, he's terrible, si annoying" Eugenia scoffed. "You'll end up marrying him" her mother joked. "Mom! I rather die!" Eugenia exclaimed. Suddenly, a knock from the door sounded. "Can you get the door?" Euphemia asked her daughter. She nodded and walked towards it.
When she opened the door, she was already expecting the boy who stood there. "Sirius, hello" he greeted. "James!!! Sirius is here!!!" she called. James came tumbling down the stairs. "Hey mate, come in" invited James. "Oh Sirius, hello" Euphemia greeted. Sirius hadn't said a word since he arrived. "You okay mate?" asked James. "I ran away" Sirius suddenly spoke. "They- they wanted me to have the mark... they are monsters" Sirius continued. "You can stay Sirius, it's okay" Euphemia said running his back. "I'll prepare the spare room" Eugenia said. "Thank you Genia" her mother smiled.
She cleaned the room and put fresh bed sheets. She returned to the leaving room where Sirius was eating some of Euphemia's roast. "Is- is Regulus okay...?" she suddenly asked, not knowing why she suddenly worried about the Black boy. "I told him if he wanted to come... he stayed" Sirius answered. "oh..." Eugenia mumbled. "And are you okay? do you need something? you can stay as long as you want, mom and dad won't mind" Eugenia rambled. "Yes, thank you Euge" Sirius smiled slightly. "I'll make you some tea, or you prepare hot chocolate?" she offered. "Hit chocolate please" Sirius said.
Eugenia walked towards the kitchen and heated the milk with her wand. Even if she was underage, small spells didn't alter the ministry. She added the chocolate puede and some marshmallows. She thought about Regulus. If Sirius ran away, then, how was Regulus doing? Even if she didn't want to, she couldn't help to feel worried for him. Yes, he was terrible and annoying, but she still thought no one should be going through what Sirius and Regulus where.
"Here you go" Eugenia said giving him the warm mug. "Thank you" he whispered. James was sitting beside him not saying a word. Silence is what Sirius needed right now. "Do you want anything else?" asked Eugenia. "I'm okay, thank you" he declined. Eugenia nodded and went back into the kitchen to make something for herself as their parents were discussing what just had happened.
"I just hope he's okay" murmured Eugenia.
