After he was announced as the winner in the kart race, Matteo left the crowd secretly, he needed some time alone.. Summer just started and he’s thinking if it’ll gonna be the same like the past summer he spent in the Philippines.. He decided to stay in the country and gave the moment to his parents to have their solo vacation in Italy.. He was near where his car parked when somebody spoke behind him.
“There you are! “Maja said
“Are you avoiding me?”
Yes, he thought.. he really was..
“No.” he answered..
“I just want to freshen up a bit.”
Maja smiled showing her white teeth.. Wearing pink tube top, sandal and dangling earrings plus the mini skirt that makes some bystanders glance on her side..
Matt continues to walk toward his car.
“You did so great today!!” Maja exclaimed as she step near him and hold him in the arms.
“Thanks!” Matt answered.
“So are you going home now?”Maja asked
Before he could answer they heard Drew his best friend calling them together with Iya. Maja’s best friend..
“I think he likes her.” Maja muttered.
We decided earlier that Iya, Drew and I thought it would be fun to head over to your place tonight. Since your parents are not home.”She said smiling.
“I don’t think so,”Matt answered.. He know this is coming
“Why not?”She asked. A little disappointment in her voice..
“I just think it’s not a good idea.” He answered
“Is it because we broke up? Look, it’s not like I want us to be together again.” She defended.
He thought, isn’t it the reason why she’s here today, looking for him after the game, dressed up and suggesting to come over because my parents are not home. But he didn’t say any of it. She’s not really that bad.. She wasn’t really just the right girl for him.
“I just want to rest early tonight. I feel like I drained after the very long kart practice and the tournament.”
