-Gakupo's POV-
I had just arrived at my fifth anniversary high school reunion. As soon as I walked in, I saw her. Megurine Luka.
"Luka?"
She looked over at me, stunned. "G-Gakupo..? Kamui Gakupo?" I walked over to her, and accompanying her was a very drunk Sakine Meiko.
"Gaaaaaakupooooo?" Meiko slurred. "Whyyy, I haven't seen youuuu siiince... Hiiiiiigh schoooool." She then proceeded to bash her head into the table she was sitting at and begun snoring. Luka blushed deeply, embarrassed. "S-sorry about th-that.. She's really d-drunk." "Not your fault, now is it?" I warmly smiled, and her face became a light shade of rose; I softly chuckled at the sight of this, and her face became a deep shade of crimson.
I felt as if I should start a conversation before her face turned deep red and exploded.
"So, how has life been treating you, dearest Luka?" Dearest Luka? What? She smiled softly. "Life has been alright. I'm working on getting my master's degree in biology, and I work part time at a daycare." She hesitated before speaking. "And you? How has life been for you?" I gazed into her eyes as I spoke. "I'm working on getting my master's in the culinary arts and I work part time at a dance studio. I can say that life has been going pretty well."
Luka smiled at me, warmly and welcomely. "I'm very glad to hear!" I reciprocated her motions. "The same goes for you," I replied.
----
Hours had passed and Luka and I were deep into conversation. She had been telling me stories about the past and the current, the current being how the children behaved at the daycare and what her professors were like.
"...just could not believe that the kid drew! It just.. It looked amazing for a three year old!" Luka exclaimed. I smiled as a response. "I bet I'd be just has flabbergasted!" She smiled at me again and I smiled back. She's gotten so beautiful, not that she wasn't before. Her pink hair like silk, her fair complexion complimenting her endless blue eyes, her smile making my heart warm... Why am I feeling like this..?
"Luka," I spoke suddenly. "Can I tell you a story from my high school experience?" She blinked slowly. "Of course." "Well, I remember that we always had this option of sending someone some candy, saying it was from a 'secret admirer' or something, on Valentine's Day." "Oh, I remember that! I recall getting a bundle of lollipops and a small note attached to it. The note read, 'Dearest Luka, you're beautiful in every aspect. I just thought you should know. Signed- D.S.'" She hesitated before speaking again. "I believe that's what it said.. But continue with your story!" "W-well.. Believe it or not, I did that exact thing on Valentine's Day when we were both sophomores." "Oh?" She smiled. "Luka?" I took her hands in mine. She looked at them and began to blush. "Yes, Gakupo?" "I'm D.S. It stands for dancing samurai."
