Chapter 10

___Nao's POV___

I stopped before the crowded hall, in front of the students from the other classes. They were all gathered in front of my classroom. They bickered with my classmates, paying little mind to the shouting on the side, further down. "You idiot! Let's go!" Bakugou yelled.

His teeth were clenched as he pulled my sister from the floor, shoving her against the wall.

I could see her body trembling as she gripped his sleeves. The blood smeared across her face. Her head hung low but I could see her eyes on the verge of tears. I run over, taking her hand, pulling her into my arms. I shoved Bakugou back with a fist to his chest. "What the hell are you doing to my sister!" I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt with the same hand. "What happened?!"

"She had a nose bleed and passed out I dunno!" I felt his body trembling in anger, like a ticking time bomb. Bakugou's shirt wrinkled in my fist. His face centimeters away, with that glare froze onto his face. Clearly, I told him, "Lay a hand on my sister again, I'll fucking kill you."

I let go, shoving him out the way so I can attend to my sister.

I don't know why I said it, especially in such a tone.

But I'm glad I did because Bakugou didn't argue back.

___Your POV___

~ With my heart beating faster, I moved back from the floating lights. Yuno's power was special- which is why Mother keeps him around. But with the beauty of it, can the pain also follow. "Don't be afraid. Come here," he took my hand, pulling me to his chest. "Just watch."

If snow glowed as it fell, this would be it. If snow was warm, this is how it would feel. If snow bursted into flames. I screamed, hiding my face into his chest. I yanked onto the tassels of his hoodie. "It's okay (Y/n)! I'm sorry-I'm sorry!" Yuno apologized quickly as I jumped from his arms.

"Mama!" I cried.

"No, no, no! S-stahp— I-I'm so so sorry (Y/n)!" He fell to his knees, begging beside me, rolling his sleeves up. "L-look you can hit me back."

"What did you do?!" Mother yelled.

"I was just showing off my quirk and she got scared!" Yuno frowned.

"Get inside!" Mother slapped the back of his head. "Go on now," she demanded, placing her hand on my back. Yuno reached for my hand but mother scolded him, "Don't touch her."

It was at dinner time when everything went down. I sat at the table, waiting for Nao to take his seat across from me like always. His hair was ruffled and his eyes were puffy as he had just finished his training with mother. Looking at his tiny swollen hands, I noticed he had a new set of bandages wrapping his stubby fingers.

His nails were hardly ever existent since mother cut them so short he wouldn't be able to scratch himself. She always had these insane protocols to insuring his safety. . . Well she tried to keep us all safe but for Nao it was always different.

The chairs scraped along the carpet as mother took her seat beside Nao. "Did you set the table Yuno?"

"Yes mother."
