Five years later

All that could be heard though the halls of Spinners End were the shouts happening between an old man with a long white beard and half-moon spectacles and the dark greasy-haired man.

"She set the couch on fire Albus, then proceeded to blow it out with just her breath." Snape said angrily, not at the childs actions but at the other man who does not seem affected by this at all.

"Shes an elemental, Severus, which I must admit is intriguing alongside her other special abilities." Dumbledore said as if pondering some really deep thought that he was not ready to share.

"Yes. I know that! She is my daughter after all, but how will she manage all this power that she cant control? Any sort of heightened emotion ends in disaster, not necessarily from her elemental abilities but from her aptitude for wandless magic." There was a brief pause whilst the tired man sat down and placed his head in his hands. "On top of all that she gets nightmares due to her legilimency powers because she can sense others fears and feelings even from far away! When she sleeps she is living out other peoples worst nightmares and I cant help her. Im useless as this, Albus. I need you to tell me what to do." Snape pleaded.

Just then the scarred man sitting in the other chair who had been silent the whole way through the argument, spoke up. "I will teach her wandless magic Albus, she is of course my god-daughter. This should help her control it and therefore have less accidental outbursts."

"Thank you Remus" Dumbledore replied, then adding: "You will start teaching her potions and the other subjects through reading. Sybil has predicted that she is smart well beyond her years, which we already knew, so she may as well get a head start because she will not be doing school the normal way."

Just then an ear shattering scream echoed through the house, causing the walls to shake a little. Then in the silence little footsteps could be heard racing down the stairs.

"Daddy, Daddy? Please, where are you?!" The young girl cried, on the verge of going into full blown panic.

"I'm hear little one" Snape replied as Noelle raced as fast as she could towards her father and practically threw herself into his arms on the couch. "Its Ok, you are safe, Im here no one can get you." Severus said whilst absentmindedly stroking her hair.

A sigh of relief could be heard throughout the room as the child relaxed completely.

Just then Lupin spoke up once more, "Were her eyes always blue along with the tips of her hair?"

Snape shifted his gaze down to his daughter, who did, in fact, have ocean blue eyes in place of the emerald green ones he knew and loved, along with the tips of her hair the same dark blue.

"No, no they weren't." he whispered quietly. "You know what this means Albus, shes a metamorphmagus, just like her mother." The shock was evident throughout his voice.

The whole room was completely silent with surprise, until a soft voice broke the silence.

"Have I done something wrong Daddy?"

"No little one, its just...Its just," He struggled to find the words, but was cut off by Dumbledore.

"What your father is trying to say is that you are an extremely special and powerful witch, and because of this you need to learn to control your abilities to keep you, and others safe. Do you understand?" The pale skinned, dark haired girl nodded her head apprehensively.

"Who are you exactly?" She whispered, not sure if she was allowed to ask or not, as it might be considered rude.

A merry chuckle came from the old man, "I'm Albus Dumbledore, a friend of your fathers. I also am the Headmaster at Hogwarts." He added as an after thought. All the while he could see her gaze shift from him to the other, younger man in the arm-chair next to the one she was on with her father. "And that is Remus Lupin; he is your god-father."

As soon as the words left Dumbledores mouth, the girl swiftly turned to her father, her eyes asking if this were true. All Snape could manage to do was a brief nod because he was still recovering from the shock of her new power. She was so much like her mother and she had no idea; she had the same pale white skin and green eyes. It was a bit like a replaca. The only thing that made it clear that she was his daughter was the raven black color of her hair.

Noelle suddenly jumped up off her fathers lap and walked slowly and carefully towards her god-father. Her eyes full of curiosity as they scanned the man up and down as if picking apart every secret he ever had and tracing the lines of every scar.

Lupin made the decision to reach his hand out to the little girl who, after inspecting the hand for a few seconds, took it. But instead of going towards him she looked up with her normal piercing green eyes and stated "You're a werewolf."

Everyone in the room looked shocked at the girls statement, however this didnt bother Noelle. Quite the opposite in fact, she just carried on holding his hands and looking into his eyes, except now she had moved her other hand so that both her hands were placed on his.

"You were bitten as a young child by Fenrir Greyback. You believe youre a monster who doesnt deserve anybody to love them." As she was speaking she walked towards him. One hand at a time, she placed her hands on his cheeks and continued: "You think that you are evil and sometimes you think of ending it all because, in your opinion, the world would be a better place without you in it. You dont want me near you because you are scared to hurt your best friends child."

Just as suddenly as the trance started, Noelle blinked and looked up. She whispered, "You wont hurt me; you are not a monster, Rem. You are the opposite and I will not leave you like my mother did, I promise, I will always say goodbye."

The girl then turned on her heels and walked quickly up the stairs to bed, before she reached the top she bid everyone goodnight and told her father to not stay up to much later because he will be tired in the morning. She then carried on walking and a click could be heard as she closed her bedroom door.

"What just happened?" Remus said shakily, his eyes brimming with unshed tears.

"I believe her legilimency powers have grown; she can read peoples minds by touching them and not just by looking into their eyes." Dumbledore said looking at Snape in fascination. "Did you know this?"

"I thought she might be able to but she has never done it before," He stated. "She can however manipulate anothers emotions, change a memory, show them what she thinks or one of her memories and can also create false memories."

"Wow; she is incredible. I wonder-" Albus started but was cut off but a seething Snape, "My daughter is not a science project Albus, she is a child with exceptional abilities, which we will help her control, but under no circumstance is she to be used in one of your plans. Is that clear?" And for once the two child hood enemies agreed as Remus could be seen nodding his head after hearing Snape's angry words.

"Yes Severus. I was merely going to say that we must do everything we can to keep her safe, by keeping her a secret, because Voldemort would do anything to have someone in his ranks with such abilities." Dumbledore said. quietly adding "especially a child that he can manipulate."

With that he grabbed a handful of floo powder and made his way towards the fireplace and disappeared from the house, leaving two people who the each other together in one room.

"She called me Rem. The only person to ever call me that was her mother."

Just then both men knew that they would put their past arguments behind them and work together for this child. For she was, for both of them, something positive to focus on in the dark times that were sure to return, but this time worse than before.
