"adelaide, wake up." a girly voice was heard as she felt her body shaking. her head shot up, thinking it was an earthquake. just her best friend.
"what?" she said annoyed as she rubbed her eyes harshly.
"one, you were supposed to teach me this. two, don't rub your eyes like that gosh."
adelaide rolled her eyes in annoyance and got up to go to the bathroom.
"ady! can i play a song? i found a cd under the table. i think it's your mom's." ady furrowed her eyebrows and looked at her best friend, kaysha.
"sure, i'll be right back." she said as she walked to her late mom's studio's bathroom.
stupid chemistry. why is this a subject? it's so stupid and useless. for me.
adelaide thought as she rinse her face with cold water.
even the water is against me.
"adelaide! open the door. please please please." a loud, continuous knock on the door making adelaide groan.
"what do you want?" adelaide opens the door revealing a scared kaysha rushing into the bathroom.
"ghosts. 3. boys. dead." the girl replied, out of breath. "you found a body?"
"what? no! there's 3 ghosts. outside." kaysha stutters as she continuously pacing back and forth.
"do i have to remind you that you can see ghosts? now, i have to teach you chemistry knowing there's ghosts watching us and judging us."
"right, sorry." kaysha laughed out as the two walked out of the bathroom.
out of the sudden, adelaide yelled loudly and covering her mouth as if she saw a ghost. well, it is a ghost. or is it.
"what? why are you yelling?" kaysha said as she hit her best friend. "why is the three of you in my mom's studio?"
"wha-your mom's? this is our studio."
"ad-" "kaysha, shut up and help me. " "they're ghosts."
adelaide turned her head to her best friend and laughed. "ghosts? im not a medium, or a witch or an anchor. i can't see ghosts."
"maybe you're special?" one of the boys said.
adelaide shoot him a glare and look at the 'ghosts' "they're hot." she said whispering to kaysha.
"we can hear you. anyways, what are you doing in our studio-what are you doing?" one of the boy said as adelaide lean closer to them. she furrowed her eyebrows and attempted touched them.
her eyes widen as she backed away. "what the fuck."
"language, young lady." "are you guys deaf or something? what are you guys doing in her mom's studio?"
"her mom's? this is our studio. look, look. the piano is brand new and- my couch!" one of the ghosts said as he jumped on the couch.
"look, we're in a band. sunset curve." "tell your friends." one of the boys, interrupts.
"last night was supposed to be big for us. but well, we died and here we are-what are you-what is she doing?"
adelaide shoots the boy a glare, "googling sunset swerve." "sunset curve." the three said together. "whatever. anyways, you guys did die but not last night, you guys died in 1995. about 25 years ago."
"what? no, that's impossible." "im just telling you what it said, okay?" "what year is it?"
"can you do the math? it's 2020." kaysha said as she sat down.
adelaide slides her phone down her pants and walked out of the studio.
"where are you going?" one of the boys asked. "my room." "why? we just met. don't you want to talk to your new cool ghost friends?" one of the boys said as adelaide shook her head. "are you guys hot vampires with daddy issues? no, then stay away from me."
"wha- what does that mean?" kaysha shook her head, "klaus mikaelson. she's obsessed." "am not." adelaide said turning to the two.
"we didn't catch your name." one of the boy asked. "adelaide."
"i-i'm luke and this is." "reggie."
"alex."
adelaide gave them a small smile and walked away.
"i'm sorry about her. i'm kaysha." she said getting up from the couch.
"nice to meet you." alex said smiling.
"you guys can ask her about the studio situation later. i think she's going to take a shower. see you guys later?" kaysha said as she grabbed her backpack.
the boys nodded as she walked away. "bye kaysha!"
"adelaide. that's a long name." reggie said laughing as he sat down. "okay, reginald." alex said as luke sat next to him.
"she's pretty." "uh-oh, someone's got a crush." reggie said as alex smirked. "it's just a compliment. calm down."
"i like her hair. it's pink. do you think she was born with it?" reggie asked as he stood up and looked around.
"probably." luke replied sarcastically as alex rolled his eyes.
