Season 3 Ep 1: The Magnificent Seven pt 2

~Madeline's P.O.V~

We were sitting in Tamara and Isaac's living room. Her and Isaac were talking over who had this stake that I didn't bother to listen about but she pulls out the pointed stake and hands it over to him with an affectionate smile.

"Thank you, dear," Isaac told her.

"You'd lose your head if it wasn't for me," Tamara states to her husband.

"So, how long have you two been married," Sam asked, gesturing to the two of them.

"Eight years this past June," Tamara said, fondly.

"The family that slays together..."

"Right. I'm with you there. So, how'd you get started," Sam questioned but the married couple looked at each other. Like they didn't want to be reminded of why they started. "I, uh, you know... I'm sorry. It;s not- that's none of my business."

I placed a hand on Sam's shoulder because he felt awkward about this encounter. He looked up at me with a small smile which I returned to him. That's when Dean walks in after finishing his phone call. I could tell he was flirting with whomever he was on the phone with by the smile that stretched across his face.

"That was the coroner's tech," Dean said. "Get this- that whole family, cause of death? Dehydration and starvation. There's no signs of restraint. No violence, no struggle. They just sat down and never got up."

"But there was a fully stocked kitchen just yards away," Bobby commented. I was trying to process everything in my head. It was still so new to me. I mean not long ago I found out that I knew how to fight and now all this. It's a lot for the brain to take in.

"Right. What is this, a demon attack," Sam questioned.

"If it is, it's not like anything I ever saw, and I've seen plenty," Bobby told all of us.

"Well, what now? What should we do," Dean asked the group.

"Uh, "we're" not gonna do anything," Isaac said. This guy was honestly starting to piss me off, actually both of them were.

"What do you mean?"

"You guys seem nice enough, but this ain't "Scooby-Doo," and we don't play well with others," Isaac commented. I stood up from where I was seated and started to walk towards the man, to which he took two steps back but Dean grabbed my shoulder, making me stop.

"Well, I think we'd cover a lot more ground if we all worked together," Sam tried to reason with the man but he wasn't having it.

"No offense, but we're not teaming with the damn fools who let the Devil's Gate get opened in the first place."
