The room was dark as the rain poured against the windows. It was in the middle of October and monsoon was barely starting. Not that he was worried about it considering Minnesota was known for the weird rain and snow habits. It'll be snowing by the end of October anyways.
Rolling over in bed, he picked up his phone and read through the messages from his only friend. Apparently there was a ghost town somewhere and rumors were spreading around about a demon lurking around.

I dunno man, I say we should go check it out. Wouldn't it be cool to meet a demon?iNsaNiTY
Demons don't exist. Though I suppose you have a greater chance of meeting a demon than your soulmate.Jellyboi
You really just don't like anything that science can't prove, do you?iNsaNiTY
No. No I do not.Jellyboi
Meet me at the old High School?iNsaNiTY
Fine. If that's what it takes to prove demons aren't real, I'll gladly prove it..

He groaned as he got out of bed and looked through his closet. While he couldn't see color, factories were nice enough to label most of the clothing so everyone would still know what they're wearing. After spending a few minutes trying to decide what to wear, he put on a dark grey shirt with light grey jeans that had patches on the knees. The booming outside reminded him that it was raining, which caused him to scavenge his apartment for an umbrella. Upon not finding one, he huffed and grabbed his jacket to try and somewhat stay dry on the way to his car. It's better than nothing, right?
Sighing softly to himself, he exited the apartment and put his hood up before locking the door. He ran to his car as the rain poured. By the time he managed to get into the car, his jacket was soaked and he was a shivering mess.
"Damn you Loucas.." He grumbled as he tried to start his car. It took a few minutes before the engine revved up. He sat their for a few minutes, taking in the warmth while he could.
Then he buckled up, put the windshield wipers on, and drove out to the place he was going to meet his friend up at.
The roads were wet and slippery, and the traffic was bad even though it was night time. Or maybe it was early morning. Time never seemed to bother him much anymore.
Why should it? Death was inevitable. It wasn't like he was going to meet his soulmate anyways. The probability of that ever happening was lower than that of a sharknado.
Impossible.
