We are now resting on the couch as the kids choose a movie on Netflix. "Anybody want popcorn?" I asked and the three of them just raised their hands. I head to the kitchen and took 2 packs of popcorn and put them in the microwave. I waited a couple of minutes until it was done. I took them out and head back. The movie has already started and they chose Titanic... Titanic. The movie me and Addie once loved.
"YES! Popcorn." Rosa cheered and I got back to my senses. Can you just stop thinking about Addie? But how can I? When everything around here reminds me of her? "You ok?" Amanda asks. "Uh yeah." I said and gave them the popcorn. The kids share the other pack while me and Amanda share the other. Halfway through the movie was difficult for me.
"If only you know how to draw." Addie says as she snuggles onto me. "In your dreams." I chuckled as I pull her close. "You're my Jack as I'm your Rose." She said softly as I kissed her head. "To bad cuz I can't draw and its cheesy but ok." I said and we laughed as we focused back on the movie.
"I should head to bed now." I said. "Awe why Uncle Si?" The kids asked. "He's tired kids let your uncle rest." Amanda said joyfully to lighten the mood up a bit. "Night." I said to them and they replied. I head to the bedroom and flopped myself on the bed as tears gently flow out of my eyes as it slowly closes.
Morning
"RISE AND SHINE MR. GRUMPY PANTS!" Someone yelled and I automatically opened my eyes and guessing its her again. The bright light of the sun hit my eyes as she opens the curtain. I groaned in annoyance. "Wakey, wakey, breakfast is ready!" She adds. "Can you just leave me alone?!" I complained. "Hmmm... No." She said as she shakes her head with a pout after. "Why?" I asked with annoyance. "Because you're alone." She said softly. What is with her? "That is the purpose why I came here, to be alone." I explained. "As the owner of the resort I don't allow that." She protested. "Why are you so annoying?!" I said annoyed. "Because I was born annoying, C'mon the kids are leaving today." She said and went out.
I groaned and went to the bathroom and took a bath. As I was done I wrapped the towel on the bottom and got out. Someone knocked at the door and I knew it was her... again. I didn't say anything but the door suddenly opens. "You might want to oh... Double time." She covers her whole face and quickly left.
Hmm. I see someone felt uncomfortable. She quickly came back in and closed the door. I rolled my eyes and finished changing. I got out of the room and saw Amanda with the kids. "Here he is, I thought you weren't saying goodbye." She says and the kids gave me a hug. "We'll miss you Uncle Si." They say and I hugged them back. "Let's go your parents are waiting." Amanda said and we head to the reception.
"Uhm Uncle Si, here's a bracelet for you to remember us." Beki said as she gave me the bracelet with their names on them. I took out a small dream catcher key chain and gave it to them. "I may don't have something nice, but here are two gems I found on the cliffs. It reminded me the both of you." Amanda said as she gives two gems to the kids.
They both hugged Amanda as they try not to cry. "I hope we can see each other again." Rosa says and they hugged her once more. "We will but not here." She sadly smiles and the two kids are called by their parents. We said our goodbyes "I'm so gonna miss them." She smiles as we watch the kids leave the resort.
"They can come back again right?" I assured as we walk back. "They can't, Once you check out you can never check in again." She says, It's weird. Is there a policy like this? "How many days have they stayed here?" I asked. "Not days, almost a year." She says, Oh probably because they spend a whole year here? But why a year though?
"Wow, so uhm see you later then." I said as I entered back at the house. I' m still tired, Right I'm get a nap and take a stroll on the beach again I guess. I closed my eyes but past memories of me and Addie rushed again at my mind. Urgh. Can you just please stop haunting my mind?! Should I look for Amanda? No, That girl is crazy and I'll probably go insane.
Might as well take a stroll on the beach. I walked out and went straight to the shore. I was sitting on the soft sand as I look through the horizon. Observing the waves form as some kids and adults play on the water. There are not that a lot of people in this resort. I don't know why but it doesn't look bad.
Just a few guests but La Casa Louisiana looks like a 5 star luxury resort. Why am I thinking of this anyway? It's a bit weird an all but hey you're here for space. At least some people do have space. I could wander this place a bit, but not today. I think I can rest now since I cleared my head off for a bit so I head back to my place and flopped myself on the bed. I closed my eyes as I fell asleep.
Give him a break the man's tired at least let him rest because the following chapters he ain't sleeping like a bear anymore.
