Lawrence, Kansas

A beautiful woman with long, blonde hair, Mary Winchester, wearing a flowy, lace, white nightgown, carries a small boy and girl into a dimly-lit room.

"Come on, let's say goodnight to your baby brother." She says as she turns on the lights, revealing a small baby lying in a crib staring at Mary and his two older siblings. Mary sets the boy and girl down. The boy leans over the crib and kisses the baby on the forehead.

"Goodnight Sam." He says as he returns to Mary's side.

The small girl leaned over the crib, kissed Sam on the forehead and whispered a soft goodnight.

Mary leans over Sam as well.
"Good night, angel." She strokes his cheek and kisses his forehead.

"Hey Dean, Anna." a voice sounds from the doorway. John Winchester stands there wearing a navy blue t-shirt. The children rush over to him.

"Daddy!" Anna screams jumping to his arms. He held her in his arms and kissed her forehead before setting her lightly on the ground.

John then scoops Dean up.
"So what do you think? You think Sammy's ready to toss around a football yet?" he asks. Dean shakes his head and laughs.
"No, daddy!" John laughs.
"No."

Mary walks past John and Dean with Anna in her arms.

"You got him?"

"Yeah I got him."

Mary takes Anna to her pink room and placed her in her bed.

"I'm not tired, mommy!" Anna shouted then her lips formed a pout as her arms crossed over her chest.

"Come on, baby. It's bedtime." Mary said softly stroking her cheek.

Anna didn't answer and kept her moody stance.

"I will sing you the song if you promise to go to sleep." Mary said.

"Promise." Anna said practically jumping up and down in her bed.

Mary began to sing softly. Her voice was so beautiful and soothing. It were as though her words had the power to calm and relax you.

"The other night dear, as I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you in my arms
But when I awoke, dear, I was mistaken
So I hung my head and I cried.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away"

She didn't even finish the song before Anna had fell fast asleep. Mary placed another kiss on her forehead before going to bed.

There was a baby monitor placed on their bedside table next to a picture of them on a trip together a few years back. Weird sounds were coming from the other end of the baby monitor and they were that consistent that they eventually woke Mary up. She had felt around on the bed to find John, to discover that she was alone.

"John?" She called out into the darkness.

Without receiving an answer, she decided to get up to check on Sam.

As she stood a few metres away from the doorway to Sam's room, she saw a tall silhouette of a man standing over Sam's crib.

"Is he hungry?" she asked John.

John turned is head.

"Shhh."

"O-Ok." she replied walking away back to her bedroom when she spotted a light flickering in her hallway.

She went to tap it but it had stopped flickering. She then saw flickering lights downstairs so she walked downstairs to fix them. Walking past the living room, she saw John asleep in a chair with a war movie on the tv. She came to realise 'if that's John then who is upstairs.' With that, she stumbled upstairs as fast as she could into Sam's nursery.

"Sammy! Sammy!"

John was woken up by Mary's traumatised screams.

"Mary?!" He shouted running up the stairs into Sam's nursery.

"Hm?" he said as he saw that nothing appeared to be wrong, the room was empty apart from Sammy, who laid watching his father examine his bedroom.

He walked over to Sam's crib and a drop of something landed on his hand and then two more drops landed on the crib sheets.

He looked up to the ceiling to see Mary sprawled across the ceiling with the stomach section of her nightgown covered in blood.

He collapsed to the ground at the sight of Mary. As Anna came round the corner to see her dad in a crumpled state on the floor. Confused, she walked into the room to see if everything was okay. She walked in, stood in the doorway and looked up to the ceiling. She saw her mother and she froze. Then flame erupted from the ceiling as Anna fell to the floor in tears. John was still sat on the floor, lost in thought when the screams of his children brought him back to reality as he stood up and grabbed Sam and ran out of the nursery.

"Daddy?" Dean said softly walking out of his bedroom.

John shoves Sam at Dean and Dean grabs him.

"Take your brother outside as fast as you can and don't look back! Now, Dean, go!"

Dean turns and runs. John turns back to the nursery.

"Mary!"

The entire room is on fire. Mary herself can barely be seen.

"No!"

John scoops up Anna as she is screaming for her mother. She takes one last look at his mother before John running out.

John starts to run out of the house with Anna in his arms trying to calm her.

Dean runs out the house with Sammy in his arms, holding him tightly.

"It's okay, Sammy."

Dean looks up at Sam's window, which is lit gold from the vicious and fearless flames.

John runs outside and scoops up Sam and Dean and carries all three of them away to safety.

Fire then explodes out of Sam's window.
